Great location. Easy walking distance to downtown and to the amphitheater. Host was super responsive and easy to communicate with. This is an historic home - comfortable, not super modern, pictures feel mostly accurate to our experience.
We enjoyed our stay in this lovely cottage in downtown Bend. It was very relaxing to walk everywhere from Jackson’s Corner am breakfast to floating the river and shopping at the Old Mill or down town. The home is cozy and was always a nice temperature after a hot day outside. This is our second summer staying in this cottage and hope to return in the future! Bill was great and replied to our questions right away, A perfect location too!
We enjoyed our stay very much. The kitchen is very modern and well equipped, the beds are comfortable, and the living room is large and comfortable. We very much enjoyed a park a couple of blocks away right next to the river. Great place to people watch and walk.
We really enjoyed this property. It was a cute historic home. Very comfortable for my family, plenty of room to relax after long walks along the river or hikes in the Bend area. We loved the spacious kirchen too! We hope to return again soon!
Perfect little home in the heart of everything Bend!
Everything we needed and the location was absolutely perfect. Close to downtown, Old Mill District, river and the amphitheater. Couldn't have been easier to get around. Thanks.
Check in had some hiccups but it wasn't nothing to sweat as ultimately all went okay. Loved the location. Bed is on the firmer side. Bathroom is small but the location is what we loved. Close to everything.
The house is a on cool quiet little street right about 3 houses down from the river, 2 streets away from parks and the tuning rapids. Our flights were all changed due to the weather and the owner was extremely understanding and flexible! Our family had an incredible time in Bend and will be back again.
Came down for a concert and to see family. We were able to walk everywhere including Downtown, the Amphitheater and the put in/take out for the River float. Our days started with walks on the River trail. The house had everything we needed and was super clean. Loved the history of the house that the owner shared. Would stay there again
My girlfriend, dog and I had a great time spending a week here. The location is right next to several parks, and is also fantastic for walking to the core downtown and the areas around Monkless, Jackson's Corner, and Boss Rambler. My dog made numerous friends on our walks! The house itself was clean and comfortable for our basic needs.
Located two houses of the Deschutes River midway between downtown Bend and the Old Mill shopping district this location was ideal for biking, walking and floating the river. The house is a historic home from the early 1900’s and although fully equipped and comfortable is eclectic. We have stayed here for five summers and have enjoyed every one.
The host Bill was great. He responded to my questions super quick. The cottage was perfect for my husband and our small dog. It was clean and stocked with everything you will need for your stay. The king size bed was so comfortable. The yard is fenced so it was perfect for our dog . The cottage is located right next to the river, so we enjoyed taking our dog down there in the morings and evenings for a walk. Definitely a place we would love to stay at again when we are back in town visiting our family.
dog.
We enjoyed the location as it was central for us and easy access to the bike trails at Phils and the Welcome Centre. The accommodation is as described, beds were comfortable, large kitchen eating area and comfortable living room. Bathroom at first glance seems small but everything works fine and is clean. Owner responded immediately to a small issue we had.
Bill the host was amazing and was very attentive to our needs. The house was homie and rustic with a cool history for the old mill district and suited our needs perfectly. The location was prime for visiting our family and friends who lived close by and the house had everything we needed for the perfect stay. Its location was close to a bunch of great restaurants and shops within walking distance and the river was a block away. The neighbors were kind the the neighborhood was quiet and safe. We had a wonderful time and will stay here again. It was perfect for the 2 of us and our Frenchies and was accomodating for our visits and dinners with our family and friends.

Wouldn't stay again
We appreciate the history to this old house. However, the house had the smell of old, damaged wood which is camouflaged by fumey things. Inside was clean. Location was good, neighborhood kinda ratty. The really negative for us was, they knew we were coming with our dog and the grass was so tall. The whole yard was awful.
I loved the location of this home. We walked everywhere. Every morning I took my dog for a walk and grabbed a coffee. We walked our kids to Columbia park, to old mill district, to 10 barrel. Everything is so close and convenient to get to. At first I was nervous about the size of the home and having one bathroom but it’s a good layout so I was able to make dinner every night and we all ate at the dining room table. We watched TV in the large living room and listened to music while doing some of the puzzles that are onsite. I love that they are dog friendly as we foster dogs and found ourself with a dog at the same time as our trip. Bill was so accommodating and responsive.
Our experience with this home was positive overall. The house is situated in a fantastic location and exudes a cool vibe. However, with teenage boys, we found the size a bit limiting and struggled with outdated technology and Wi-Fi connectivity. For families with different needs, this might not be an issue. We also noticed the absence of basic amenities like soaps and shampoos, though we understand these are minor details. As second homeowners who rent out our own place, we appreciate that preferences vary. In essence, this home is amazing but might be better suited for a different demographic.
A comfortable home with interesting history. The location is perfect. Walking distance to river trails, parks, breweries and downtown. Very dog friendly neighborhood. Host was easy to communicate with.
