The location for what we were looking for (wildlife, hiking, relaxation) was perfect. The property was beautiful and well equipped. We would definitely come back on future visits.
The property and house was very nice. The creek beside it was great. We had a lot of fun fishing and viewing elk at near by over looks. Can’t wait to stay again.
Our family had a great relaxing time at the Waterfront Camp! Its a beautiful home in a gorgeous wooded setting along the stream. Would love to come back again.
Had a great weekend our family first time at the Waterfront place was beautiful by the waterfront house was exactly what was shown on Vrbo we were very impressed by the site. Did see some deer in the yard and a few Elk in the area definitely would recommend the place.
Everything was as advertise. Property owner had everything we needed for a great weekend. We had a great stay would highly recommend. Property Owner check in on us to to make sure everything was working during a storm overall great experience!
Our stay to celebrate my dad’s 75th birthday was perfect! The location of the property being right on the water was so peaceful, and everything was clean and cozy! The beds were AWESOME, which is always so hit or miss, and can really make or break a stay (more “miss” than “hit”usually!) We really enjoyed our stay as a family for this special milestone!
We love it there. The location, the creek, the friendliness of the owners. I've asked many times for special accommodations and have never turned me down and they trusted us. We look forward to going every year.
The Stokes are great people.
The house and property are in the perfect location. We had everything we needed and loved being so close to the water. If we could buy this house we would, what a true gem. We will definitely stay here again! Thank you Alan & Yvonne.
The privacy and seclusion of this cabin was perfect, the creek out back was awesome! The cabin itself was beautiful. The pictures don't do it justice. Way nicer than I expected. Thkitchen was well stocked
Our family had such a wonderful stay at this beautiful location. We enjoyed walks on the property and the view of the river from the deck. The best part was having coffee and watching the elk from the dining room window in the morning. We absolutely fell in love with this beautiful home and property. We hope to come back and stay again
It was very quiet and serene. We loved the beauty of the mountains and the sound of the Sinnemahoning creek located behind the house. My husband was up early and saw a black bear cross over the creek.
Nice property with good fishing, deck is the best with the river view. Nice bull walked through on the hill. Bear tracks over night. Good sleep, Overall peaceful.
Nice, quiet location along the stream centrally located between Elk Viewing sites.
The central air worked out well for two days it was in the 90s outside.
Native trout in the stream. Recommend that you bring fly rod.
We absolutely loved the property. Our boys enjoyed playing sports in the fields along with running with our dog. We saw 3 large bulls (elk) in the front yard one morning, which was awesome. It is also close to everything you need and want to visit in Benezette. The house was clean and homey. We plan to stay again next year!
Beautiful property! We loved hanging out in the creek and the big front porch. We saw over twenty Elk riding around. Lots of deer and fawns too many to count. Turkey with babies and a duck in the creek with five babies. Looking forward to coming back.
If you want peace and quiet surrounded by nature’s beauty, this is the place to stay! We loved the location, the music of the stream while relaxing on the porch, watching various wildlife on the property (deer, rabbits, squirrels, chipmunks, and groundhogs). The interior was great with outdoor decor, all the essential appliances for making food, and comfort areas were great. Property Manager was extremely helpful when we had one small issue which he quickly remedied. Highly recommend!
House was awesome. Very clean, great property and amenities. Had elk in the yard all afternoon, overnight and early in the morning still. That was the best part!!! There were 16 cows and one bull. Another bull walked through the following morning. This will be our only option to stay in future visits. Thanks so much.
I’m a wildlife photographer and we are in the area 2-3 times a year. We will definitely be returning.
Pros: Great location and privacy. The master bed was comfortable, LR furniture is nice, kitchen is very well equipped, plenty of towels and wash rags. Nice to have the creek just steps away.
Cons: Can use a good cleaning.
This cabin is a true gem! Nestled in the woods, it offers the perfect blend of rustic charm and modern convenience. The wooden interiors create a warm, cozy ambiance, and the water creek flowing right in front of the porch adds a serene, magical touch. Waking up to elk visiting the property was an unforgettable experience—it felt like living in a nature documentary!
The hosts were exceptional—responsive, flexible, and genuinely kind and caring. They ensured every aspect of our stay was perfect, going above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Whether you’re looking for a peaceful retreat or a base to explore the area, this place has it all. I can’t wait to return!"
As advertised and connsitent with previous reviews. Cabin and property is well maintained. Very nice kitchen that is well equipped with everything you could possibly need. Fishing Bennetts Branch was good for trout just outside the back door. Lots of deer each evening. Did not see elk on the property during our stay but you don't have to go far to see. Suggest stopping by the small general store just a few miles away as well as the small local shop. All of the locals we talked to were so nice. Will definitely book again.
****PROS****
.
--Vast beautifully manicured property. Mowed just as it shows in the pictures. Ample places for kids to play and let their imaginations run wild.
.
--Easy stream access and ample room for a canopy/sunbrella, table, blanket and a few chairs on the shoreline.
.
--Clean. The living room has vaulted ceilings, from which I didn't spy a single cobweb hanging.
.
--Ample wildlife, including chipmunks and crayfish for the kids to catch. We spied 3 bull elk in the front yard on two different evenings, as well as two others on one of the mornings. They are massive and majestic.
.
--Better wifi than expected. No streaming, but enough to check-in with the office.
.
****CONS****
.
--Kitchen is clean and functional but dated. You'll also want to bring your own wine glasses and corkscrew.
.
--Not the best tasting water, but the fridge does have a water filter.
.
--You are going to be asked to dispose of your garbage at a location that's maybe 10-15 minutes away.
.
--Not many options nearby to pick up things you might have forgotten (which is also oddly also a pro). I'd suggest Amazon or InstaCart (which seems to deliver from Home Depot and a small convenience store in town.)
.
--And finally, you are going to need to clear some time for a little more cleaning than is requested at most rentals. Its not backbreaking though -- and something you'll begrudgingly do, because you're going to want to come back.
.
All of this said -- we'd absolutely visit once again.
