Gott med plats på parkeringen. Men det kunde inte gottgöra allt det som inte stämde. Rummet var unkelt o sängen urgammal där madrassen sett sina bästa år. Lakanen luktade inte fräscht. Duschen vågade jag inte ens prova då den var så äcklig och dörren till duschen var rakt in från rummet, den va inte inne i badrummet. Toasitsen var sliten o gulaktig. Lampan fick man tända genom att krypa under bordet och sätta i kontakten i väggen. Sänglampan fungerade inte alls. Inget sängbord. Luften var dålig och ventilationsluckan hade man täppt till med ihopskrynklad tejp. Det fanns ingen personal på plats vid ankomst, så man kunde ha sagt till. Även jag kom fram under en tid de annonserar att personal är på plats. Golvet i frukostrummet var så kletigt att man nästan fastnade med skorna. Fanns personal på morgonen när jag skulle checka ut och då uttryckte jag mitt missnöje. Väldigt uppskattat att personalen då tog mig på allvar och jag fick lite rabatt på rumspriset, för det var inte annars värt pengarna.

På entrédörren står det att restauranger är öppen mellan 18.00-22.00 men den kvällen v i övernattade var den stängd så vi måste åka in till Bengtsfors centrum. Golvet dåligt rengjort. Tevattnet ljummet vid frukosten och skedar till ägget fick vi be om

Rummet var väldigt dammigt och smutsigt, likaså ”allrummet”, inga ytor var avtorkade osv. Det luktade illa när man gick ner till frukosten, luktade bara matos på hela hotellet då, blev nästan äcklad. Kommer aldrig tillbaka.

Renovationsbedürftig und in die Jahre gekommen. Im Bad waren Spinnenweben und Rückstände des vorherigen Gastes. Der Pool war grün und nicht benutzbar. Die Lage direkt am See ist schön, jedoch Parkplatz dazwischen. Highlight war das Frühstücksbuffet.

“Nice location, but sleep in the car instead”

Headline is a paraphrase from a review we found on Google, unfortunately after we had already checked in… I spent some time researching if this hotel was used as a retirement home while it was owned by Bengtsfors kommun, but nothing came up. Still, that’s my hunch. Our room featured a bathroom that was decades old with all the signs of having been used in some form of healthcare capacity. A worn and semi-broken toilet for disabled use, a shower setup that can house a wheelchair, and even a sign on the door with county council feeling printing stating it is, indeed, the toilet and shower. The rest of the room was worn, incredibly warm, and not very inviting. But kudos to the hotel for providing us with a small desk fan, probably of Chinese make, maybe from a company with ties to the current owner? The hallway was eerily reminiscent of ‘The Shining’, I felt almost sure I would bump into a couple of twins inviting me to come play with them when turning a corner. Not to mention the laundry chutes and very old service elevators. The pool, needless to say, was closed during our stay. A blessing in disguise because while this gravely disappointed my daughter, I dread to think of what she might have caught had it been open. No staff was around from 6pm on the Sunday we arrived, instead guests arriving later had to pick up their room keys from a table in the lobby. Names displayed in a not-so-GDPR-friendly fashion. Breakfast, served until 9am sharp, was at least ok.

Dette bidro til at vårt opphold ikke var som forventet/ønsket: - Hotellets basseng var stengt for rensing 2 døgn. - I beskrivelsen på Hotel.com sto det at hotellet hadde treningsrom. Treningsrommet hadde vært stengt siden januar 2025. - rommet var dårlig rengjort, bl.a støvete på overflater og tannglass med tannkremrester. -kaffe var tilgjengelig i lobbyen, men sjelden kaffekopper. Samtidig god og delikat frokost. Fint å kunne sitte ute og spise. Gode parkeringsmuligheter-også for elbil.

Trevlig vistelse, smidig service.

Mycket nöjda med det mesta. Poolens temperatur styrs av väder och vind, sålunda kall ibland. Ordentliga solstolar saknas. De som finns är i hårdplast och man sitter upp i 90 grader. Fantastiskt bekväm säng! Trevlig personal och underbar frukost.
