We have stayed at many 5 star hotels and the staff at this hotel were genuinely happy to help and always greeting you with warmth and a smile. "5 of us stayed at The Mythic Valencia for 5 nights in May. The whole experience was amazing. The staff were so helpful - especially Michelle, Larisa and Natalia. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they were not at all fazed by all our questions about places to visit, restaurant recommendations, bus and tram services. The hotel was spotlessly clean and the beds super comfy. I cannot recommend it highly enough. Superb situation just 10 minute walk to the old town across the bridge. Perfect in every way!"

"The staff here were incredibly rude. The front desk staff in particular. At check in. Thoughout the stay if we had a question. Check out. Just the rudest most arrogant people. If you don’t like people or tourists don’t work in this industry. The staff in the bar upstairs didn’t serve us for 40 minutes before we finally gave up and left. We were the only ones there and there was 2 staff. The room was not clean. There was blood drops on the sheets. Definitely not from us. Towels were not clean. Location was good. We tried to get water from the supplied reception area on three occasions and there is never any clean glasses. Breakfast was 25 per person for pretty bad food. There is far far far better options in Valencia for this price point"

"Beautiful Five-Star Hotel, One-Star Hospitality We booked one of the hotel’s top suites for our wedding day so my wife could get ready there. The property itself is stunning, but the service was incredibly disappointing. The day before our wedding, I arranged a surprise bouquet for my wife. Despite having a confirmed reservation, reception claimed I wasn’t a guest and sent the flowers to the wrong hotel, completely ruining the surprise. On our wedding day, we arrived carrying wedding attire, luggage, and decorations. We had already informed the hotel in advance that we would be arriving with a service dog. Instead of welcoming us, the receptionist stopped us at the entrance and made us wait outside for approximately 15 minutes while she tried to verify documentation she clearly did not understand herself. The delay disrupted our schedule, added unnecessary stress, and made us late on one of the most important days of our lives. What was most disappointing was not the mistakes themselves, but the complete lack of empathy, urgency, and professionalism shown by the receptionist. The employee who appeared to be in training was polite and helpful; unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the staff member supervising him. Luxury hospitality is about more than beautiful rooms. This hotel offers a five-star property with one-star service. Management should seriously review how guests, especially those celebrating major life events, are treated at reception."
