"A great option for Salzburg area if you have a car and you want to be further from the city. The property itself was fine, but I had some comms issues with the host and I wasn’t aware that I had to wait until check in time to get the code to get my key. This place is mostly reception-less. You need to msg them on WhatsApp for everything. The rooms were clean and nice but VERY spare. Like no shampoo, no body wash and only one big and small towel per person. The (singular) pillow was thin and I had a hard time getting comfy to sleep. I still believe it was good value for what I got. Would recommend."

"We loved this hotel!! The location was perfect! It’s opposite the main station which was fantastic for our arrival, trips out to konigsee and eagles nest and leaving to our next destination. The hotel room was really large with a gorgeous balcony. The breakfast was incredible and the staff were extremely helpful and polite. The pass for free local transport was a great bonus!"

"An amazing location only a short 2 minute walk to the town centre of Berchtesgaden. Upon arrival reception were very friendly, helpful and spoke English. 100% on customer service. Rooms were perfect, very clean and maintained, the views were amazing. Breakfast was very good, fresh coffee, juices pastries, hot food and cold food. Didn't use the pool and Spa facilities but they were operational and looked good. Will definitely be coming back here."

"Rooms were fairly spartan but clean. Lack of AC isn’t untypical but something for American travelers to remember as it was a bit stuffy. Location was outstanding. Unexpected bonus was the quaint restaurant with outdoor patio and the live German folk band concert that night. Enjoyed our time tremendously!"

"We had a wonderful 5-nights stay at Kempinski Hotel Berchtesgaden. The location is absolutely amazing, surrounded by the beautiful Bavarian Alps and offering breathtaking mountain views. It is also conveniently located close to many sightseeing attractions, making it a great base for exploring the area. The breakfast was outstanding, with a great selection and excellent quality. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and very well maintained. The staff were exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and helpful, always happy to answer our questions and assist with anything we needed. Overall, a beautiful hotel in a spectacular location. We truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it!"

"I can’t say enough about this amazing little hotel right on the beautiful lake. Perfect location, incredible staff and delicious food. Extremely accommodating and a big thank you to Receptionist Alex, who was extremely kind, patient and helpful with our stay and plans. The beds were so comfortable and the big modern bathroom was excellent. Parking was not an issue and the breakfast was wonderful. The boat is something you should not miss and the highlight of our stay, hiking lake Obersee. Do not let the complaints about no elevator hold you back if you don’t mind some stairs. Perfect location for the boat and area. I’m so glad we did two nights, we would have done 3 if able. I hope to be back soon! Do not pass this gem."

"Restaurant staff were very abrasive and not helpful. Refused to order at at the bar, instructed to sit and they would come. Waited 20mins no menu went to another hotel around the corner and they were really good for dinner and friendly. The hotel itself receptionist was very helpful though. Hotel = Good. Restaurant = Below average. Dragged down by service staff."
