Had a wonderful time for the Fourth of July weekend! Just a short drive to Acadia and the spectacular views. Property was super clean and the backyard was perfect for our group. Would absolutely stay again, thanks Becky!
This house had everything we needed for our stay including toys and book for my grandkids. We were a few minutes from Acadia which was so convenient and there are several local places to eat which were all amazing. Becky was an excellent communicator before, during and after our stay which was great
Great location to explore Acadia NP and the surrounding areas. The house is clean and comfortable with everything you need. It has tons of toys, books, and games for kids. The best part of the rental is the host. Becky is great. I would stay here again and highly recommend it.
Great place to stay with kids! Full of toys and children's book. The house is a little old but well maintained. The location is just 20 minutes away from the National Park visitor center.
We had a great time. She was a wonderful host. She goes above and beyond to not burden vacationers with chores and rules for renters. The area is fantastic for visiting Acadia and getting to relax at night.
Check in process easy, host was very helpful and gave good tips on local spots to eat, swim and hike. Left the kids a sand bucket and smores kit as well as a toy for our dog!
We visited in the fall, to see the autumn colors and visit Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. Everything was wonderful! The house was close to the sights, very comfortable, had everything we needed, and provided great advice on nearby restaurants, etc. I would highly recommend!
The house had plenty of room for family of 4, very cozy beds and within minutes of Thurstens and Seafood Ketch. Close to Southwest Harbor for breakfast and dinner. We loved Acadia and all it had to offer and enjoyed the quiet when we returned to home base for game night and movies. Dining area and two living rooms enabled the family to enjoy all the comforts of home. Our dog was welcomed too. I vowed not to cook this holiday but saw there was a well equipped kitchen and laundry if needed.
We had a fabulous time. This is a perfect home for families. Very private, toys for the kids, beautiful backyard. Bedding was new and super comfy. We even had a cute orange kitty come and say hi. Hosts were so great! They even had a cute smores bucket for us.
My fiancé, her German shepherd and I spent 3 wonderful days staying here. We had events to attend in Bar Harbor each day but wanted a cozy place a bit removed from that touristy hub. The location was ideal. A 10-block walk from an isolated cove, a 6-mile drive to a beautiful lake with public access and a canoe rental group across the road, and about 30 minutes to Baa Haabaa center. We also highly recommend the lobster/crab shack less than 2 miles down the road.
My family and I had a nice stay. The property is nicely wooded and felt secluded. Close enough to the main Acadia attractions that we went each day, as well as to the closer (less busy) parts of the park. The house was clean and had nice new linens. The smaller bathroom toilet was not working, but otherwise the listing was accurate. Easy check-in and check-out and the host was readily available.
Great cozy house with all a family needs. 1.5 bathrooms, laundry, backyard with fire pit. Kids loved it. Two tvs let kids watch one and adults watch another. Nice proximity to Acadia, Bar Harbor and other cute little towns. Property owner was so nice and helpful. We had a great stay as a family of 4 with one child age 8 and one age 5.
House was clean and roomy. Nice backyard and deck area to enjoy the outdoors. Well located for Arcadia National Park and Bar Harbor. Very quiet and peaceful.
We had a wonderful stay in Becky’s home. It was so peaceful and private. Becky was an excellent host - very communicative and immediately available to help with anything we needed. If we ever return to Maine we would love to stay here again.
Everything was perfect about this house! It was well stocked, super clean, and in a great location! Check in and out was incredibly easy the host had everything we needed ready and waiting for when we arrived!
The space is large and our family of four had plenty of room. Our younger child particularly enjoyed the toys that were available and there is space for everyone to have downtime after a day spent hiking in Acadia. The house is close to a number of "quiet side" sites, including the Wonderland trail, Bass Harbor Lighthouse, and Long Lake.
Quiet. Roomy. It served our purpose. The back deck and yard were nice. Unfortunately, the weather did not allow us to take advantage of it. There were some items that would have been nice to have that were not available. The host was very friendly and responsive to our needs. I would highly recommend the property.
We recently stayed for a visit to Acadia and overall had a nice time! The host was very responsive and helpful throughout our stay, which we really appreciated. The home itself is older and shows its age in a few areas. With one full bathroom, the shower tended to run cold after 2 people showered, and the shower drain needed to be held down in order to work properly. We also noticed the water had a bit of a metallic smell. That said, the space was comfortable and we still enjoyed our visit. With a few updates, this place could really shine. Thanks again to the host for being so attentive!
The property was just as described. Becky was a wonderful host. She stopped by on the second day to greet us and see if we needed anything. There were a couple of kitchen items we desired. She brought them over in less than two hours. Highly recommended.
This property is not ready for rental and should not be on VRBO. A bare lightbulb greets you at the front door (there are more of the same throughout the house). The inside smells of mold and mildew and there is evidence of it in the bathroom, along with rodent or insect damage on the cabinets.
No lamps, throw pillows, blankets, or anything that invites you to linger. Several windows are missing screens and have to stay closed so bugs won’t get in. There are missing closet doors, broken ceiling light fixtures, broken cabinet drawers, and rusted baseboard heaters falling off the wall. There’s a bulldozer in the front yard, conveniently missing from the photos.
Our many previous rental have included various spices, condiments, storage containers, and paper products. Not here. I messaged the owner for a dish towels, plastic wrap, and a cutting board, and her sister showed up with one of each and a dirty sponge—for a 4-day booking. The kitchen is barren—one skillet, 1 pot, and a few utensils, along with one dull knife.
