"Excellent breakfast fresh food and served quickly. Friendly staff. Not so enamoured with all the steps at the front of the hotel not disabled friendly. There was a door leading off the car park but still had steps to negotiate. Otherwise it was a nice stay and was made to feel welcome."

"We were delighted by the old-fashioned charm of this hotel, which has surely survived despite all the odds in the current financial climate. We booked a 'superior' double room which turned out to be enormous, the only setback being that it was up 2 flights of stairs and the second of these had very narrow steps. However the room was lovely and so was the bathroom (which had a jacuzzi!) All was nice and clean. On one evening they had a carvery which was very popular and deservedly so. Breakfasts were 'continental' style, but plenty of choice. The bar is an old-fashioned gem."
