Leading straight from the doorstep, soak up breath-taking panoramas while venturing up the popular mountain of Moel Siabod or over to the lakes of Crafnant and Geirionydd. Alternatively, climb the highest mountain in Wales, Yr Wyddfa, (Snowdon), which is easily accessed by the regular bus that stops directly outside the cottage. If you fancy exploring the local villages, Betws-y-Coed (6 miles) is a lively spot for walkers and mountain bikers, with a range of boutiques, restaurants and bars to choose from. Keen photographers may want to frame the picturesque cascades of Swallow Falls, less than 4 miles away.
