Special thanks to Mr Mana, who took us on a dune bashing excursion at sunset, we had so much fun listening to his stories, learning about Omani culture and the sunset viewing spot was incredible. I highly recommend booking an experience with him. Thanks to the camp stuff who upgraded us to a royal tent."

"We were there only for one night, but we enjoyed everything- staff was very friendly, the tents are simple but comfortable, dinner and breakfast buffet was delicious. We hiked up the dunes for a beautiful sunset and enjoyed the night walking tour in the desert with Monil. as the hotel offers different type of activities you can choose from. We would definitely recommend this hotel. "

"Spent the one night here. Thoroughly enjoyed and overall impression was good. Having canvas tents is more authentic but necessarily means a little less comfort than the "purpose built camps" like Oryx, though more than adequate. Food is brought up from Oryx (1km away) and was pretty good. Stargazing was amazing as was watching the colours at sunrise. But the "activities" on offer are expensive - "dune bashing" for £50 was really not up to much and you could walk to the place you are taken...

"Hotel.com really let us down by providing misleading information that room can stay 4 people. All room are for 2 people only. The staff were very helpful and friendly to resolve this matter even though it was not their fault. I would book this hotel via other websites but not hotel.com. Staff are friendly and go out of their way to help you. The only issue was the pool the water was dark green not like the pictures and not cleaned."
