"This place is amazing. Very secluded and right on the river. Here are some protips - research river conditions beforehand. The Trinity was still experiencing peak run off conditions and was unswimmable and unfishable for the most part. Also, heed the hosts driving instructions that "strongly suggest" accessing the property from Willow Creek. Really, the host should change this to a requirement, not a suggestion. Even accessing from Willow Creek is a bit tricky and not for the faint of heart but...

"Very clean and beautiful structure. The pictures on the site make you think you will have a river view and maybe even be able to walk out to the river. That is not real. It’s a short hike or a drive to the river. Not a huge deal but we were a bit surprised. The fireplace smokes up the entire home. We turned off the the heat and it still did it. Fireplace is beautiful and heated the room but smoke was everywhere!!! Other than that, I would stay there again!"

"We enjoyed our stay. The outside area wasn’t cleaned prior to us arriving so there was a lot of debris all over the decks, tables ,chairs and in the pool. There are alot of trees so it’s a given that debri is expected. Over all we had a great vacation and it was so quiet and peaceful. Colleen was very responsive and helpful when I need to contact her."

"The property was amazing. It had great views and the house was very nice. There isn’t water access and the fire pit was filled in with dirt so we couldn’t use it. The pictures made it seem like we could access the river but was not the case. Other than that the property was very comfortable and we had everything we needed. "We had a wonderful stay, the house is perfect for relaxing and it had all the amenities we needed. We ate in town for all meals as we didn't want to cook, but if we did the kitchen was well stocked. The pool was amazing and the weather was just right. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was amazing! I loved the tiles. Would stay there again! Our host was very responsive if we had any questions."

"On arrival the code for the door did not work the host was not available by phone. The house was cold upon entering and it took hours to heat up. 2 of the remotes for the mini splits had dead batteries and did not work. The (bed) in the guest room was a box spring with a mattress topper on it. The bed in the master was old and had a large sunken spot in the middle making it very uncomfortable. There was dog poop in the yard around the fruit trees. Overall we did not have a good stay."

"We had a wonderful stay at Strawhouse Resort. The property is beautiful, with the cafe and patio along the river. Good pizza and coffee roasted on site. "The guests that we met on property were awesome including the people they checked us in and worked the property. The property and cabin needed work. Lots of holes throughout mosquito netting.
