"The host Barbara was very friendly and welcoming, and her property is beautiful! We enjoyed relaxing in our room and the AC was essential to catching up on sleep. The rooftop views of the ocean and walking distance to the main street completed our first day in the island. "

"We loved our stay. Especially swinging in the hammock on the porch of our room/cabana. It’s definitely rustic. So don’t expect fancy. But maintained, comfortable, safe, and steps from the beautiful beach. The staff is kind, the free breakfast is delicious, and the scuba shop fantastic! Take a dive with Zoe, you’ll absolutely love it.
If you’re looking for authentic Honduran food, Bananarama is just a 1 min walk to La Placita and there you’ll find inexpensive pupusas and baleadas. Very delicious."
"First time traveling as a family of four with a 6 year old and 8 month old baby, and we couldn’t not had the BEST time ever. From the pool, the beach, the food , the staff!!! Such a wonderful experience!!! We would go back and stay there. The beach is just amazing with clear waters and coconuts off a kayak! Such a dream! Our 6year old wouldn’t come out of the pool! Perfect stay for our family."
"This place was a dream! A little ways off the beaten path, so it was very quiet and not busy at all around the Beach area. Great snorkeling right off the dock. The hammocks at the end of the dock sway you into vacation mode. Also a beautiful place to watch the sun set.
I also enjoyed their included breakfast. They had a different item everyday that was prepared fresh each morning. All staff were very friendly and willing to help with anything you needed. I felt as if they enjoyed our company as much as we enjoyed theirs."
"Vanessa, Gina and the rest of the staff are very professional and kind.
Great place to stay, awesome food, excellent service.
Will come back for sure!!!"
Mayan Princess Beach & Dive Resort - All Inclusive
10/10 Excellent
"This resort was fantastic for our young kids. It was clean, everything was close and the staff was great. The food was much better than anticipated. The two restaurants that you had to make reservations for were fantastic. Also the breakfast and lunch buffets were also great. We were especially excited about the home made tortillas and and fresh made to order omelets. The stuff on the actual buffet was ok, but they had 3-4 areas making fresh made to order entrees. They made good mocktails for our kids and the adult drinks were fine. We don’t drink a whole lot anymore, but they made some that were enjoyable.
Snorkeling was easy. They had a team that would take you out, but if you take your own stuff you can literally swim out and snorkel the reef on your own. We did both. Our snorkel guide was knowledgeable, and we saw all the normal reef fish, as well as a turtle, some barracuda and a nurse shark. Would go back to this resort again. Highly recommend!"
