"My father and I stayed for a couple nights to end our European tour and it was lovely. Check in was a breeze and communication during the process was excellent. Short walk to public transit, museums, city center. Sitting out in the terrace with my dad watching boats go by was so enjoyable!"

"The host was wonderful, however the property is beyond tiny. It is impossible for 4 people to fit and absolutely no where to put luggage, toiletries, etc. Unfortunately, due the size we actually couldn’t even stay a single night. The host did provide a refund for cleaning services since we were there less than a few hours. Last comment is that it is not accessible without a car."

"I stayed with 2 of my friends in this cute little boat. We had an amazing time where it was walking distance from the centre. Although there is no running water the host was very friendly and accomodate for us and always made sure we had what we needed. Definitely recommend if you want to stay on an affordable boat in the canals of Amsterdam!!"

"We wanted a different experience than the usual apartment and Han’s boat was it. Very clean and comfortable but requires some agility to move around…after all, it is a boat. Han was a great host and the location is a short walk to just about everywhere we wanted to go. I highly recommend Bamboo Boat if visiting Amsterdam"

"Wonderful experience. Martyn was very hospitable. The location is quiet and across from the zoo. Waking up to elephants and zebras was incredible. We enjoyed a nice hit tea on top of the boat in the mornings while we watched boaters and swimmers come by. We truly enjoyed this property and it’s fully stocked kitchen supplies. "

"This houseboat is not fancy - but it is as comfortable as being at a friend's cabin - we didn't want to leave. We had not stayed in Amsterdam before, so wanted our first few nights to be something unique. The boat was perfect! It was close walking to everything, yet it was quiet and relaxing once inside. Watching the crowded tourist boats traverse the river was a fun diversion. Our friends staying in a hotel were jealous of the roominess experienced on the boat. While we didn't cook, the kitchen...

Robertino is as gracious a host as you could ask for and will do what ever he can to make your stay in Amsterdam wonderful. We cannot recommend this houseboat highly enough. "It’s a sufficient place to stay, a good location, and the owner is lovely, but you have to climb up and down stairs that are almost like a ladder to get to your room and there is NO view whatsoever. It’s a barge, not really a houseboat. We are older, and wouldn’t have rented if we had known you couldn’t see out and ladder climbing was involved!"

"We absolutely loved our stay on this houseboat! It’s much bigger than it looks and the host was kind enough to provide us with a bottle of wine. The location is a much quieter area that is about a 15 minute tram ride into the center of Amsterdam so it was nice to escape the bustling city at night with the option of restaurants and shops still nearby. Overall, highly recommend if you are able to!"
