"Nice location. Walking distance to many restaurants. Easy communication. Very hot upstairs as it was 90 degrees outside but owners said they have installed another window unit upstairs to help with conditions. Very clean."

"We enjoyed our stay at the Lakeside Motor Lodge, at the very tip of the Michigan thumb. We were on the 1st floor and there was a picnic table right outside our room. This is an an advantage not offered by very many overnight stays. We could sit outside, play some Phase 10, on the table and enjoy the cool breezes. When we check in we often ask where a good place to eat is. Bird Creek Farm was recommended. We took that recommendation and ate outside on a very nice back porch, which was obviously a local favorite place to eat. Food was really good, quickly served by a very efficient young waitress. This stay was perfect. The bed was comfortable, the room was very clean and well kept. A bonus of our stay was putting our feet in, well, I'm not sure if it was the Saginaw Bay or Lake Huron, but once the numbness from the cold water set in, it was very pleasant to be able to stand and talk for a few minutes. I would recommend the Lakeside Motor Lodge to anyone looking for a pleasant place to when visiting Port Austin, and I would highly recommend visiting Port Austin, at the tip of the thumb in Michigan."

"We had a wonderful week at Christina’s rental home! The home was exactly as shown in the photos & as described in the listing. Easy check-in/checkout. Great communication. Christina thought of everything someone might want/need for appliances (large & small), spices, utensils, miscellaneous supplies. We watched the sunrise every morning from the back patio! Beautiful!Our two 7-month old puppies had a great time too! Nice to find a family-friendly and pet-friendly place to stay!The village of Port Austin is very nice as well. Tracy, the manager at the Port Austin Market and her team were very welcoming. They make homemade bagels every morning! Delicious! We highly recommend this rental home!"

"The house was quite lovely. The location was perfect. There were several beaches and parks within 10 miles. The purpose of our trip was for a little 'beach-time.' Hence, the property met our needs perfectly. The house was stocked well. They have a drip-coffee maker with ground coffee in the freezer; we brought our own, though. Beds were comfortable. Plenty of shampoo, lotion, sunscreen, kitchen foil/plastic wrap, cleaners, toilet paper, and paper towels. The portable A/C unit kept the temperature comfortable inside. We had to empty the water collected from the unit a few times, but no big deal. The wicker furniture on the deck was comfortable for sitting and unwinding with an icy cocktail after being in the sun. Truly, we enjoyed our entire stay and would gladly come back to this location. The only minor concern was that the washer and dryer were a little loud (located by the back bedroom) and struggled to wash a load of 4 beach towels. It left me worried to do any more laundry. Usually, I am happy to wash bedsheets and hand towels prior to check-out to help out the cleaning crew, but we were unable to do so. Perhaps updating the machines would be a nice investment. Again, we would rent this property again. Thank you for sharing your property with us. We appreciate your kindness."
