Our stay was outstanding. The location is great and the property is even better. My only complaint was a loud bang that happened several times through the night and I have no idea what it was. Would definitely stay again.

I love the historic charm of this hotel, it's in great walking distance to the legacy arena, staff was very friendly and so was valet. You will need to either valet park your car or park in the street. The current rate for parking with valet is $38 a day. They don't give a free breakfast but they do have a restaurant for breakfast and dinner. We enjoyed are stay and would stay there again..

I needed to be in a specific part of Birmingham - within walking distance of the Art Museum. The Tutwiler is exactly one block distance. For that purpose it was perfect. Apparently, it has undergone a recent renovation and it shows. I spent a little extra for a corner room - extra light - well worth it. It's very stylish - lots of black accents. There is a great park across the street where an art festival is happening. The price was average for that area.

We only stayed for one night, but we really enjoyed this beautiful hotel and our hotel room that was nicely decorated and very comfortable and quiet. The staff was very helpful at checkin and thorough in giving us information we needed for getting around the area. The only drawback is that there was not a bar area which I understand is under renovation. We will definitely stay there again when we attend an event in the area
