It’s the most simple place. You get for what you pay. The staff is very nice and helpful though. However, the smell of sweat in those rooms are impregnated on the walls. It is not a good area. You will see people out of their rooms smoking and drinking.

Ran down and roaches

We had to stop partway through our travels, late at night, and Hotels.com recommended this one, unfortunately. There were roaches everywhere, the rooms weren't very clean, the ac had mold in it, and the hotel itself was poorly kept. The employees were friendly, at least, and the beds were comfortable enough.

Nice room for the price that you pay. Seems like the police harass the hotel customers around the area because of the kind of economic class that this hotel and the surrounding hotels attract due to the lower prices that are available at the hotels in this area. Convenient to shopping, restaurants, and downtown Birmingham.

The Smell

The staff was nice and the bed was clean. I always appreciate being able to take my dog for free! But the room smelled like smoke and the bathroom smelled bad too. The smoke alarm had been taken out. There were faint yellow stains all over the floor.
