"March 2026 - Long relaxing weekend in Masham, (4 nights) parked up and never moved the car until we left, perfectly situated to access Masham Market Square with Pubs, Shops Cafe's and a market, we bought some produce from the Bedale Community Bakery stall which were excellent, (It's the one with the long queue!!). Cottage is very comfortable and perfectly accommodating for two people, we took our own wood from home for the log burner, however you can buy this in Masham. Planning a return visit towards the end of the year."

"We stayed here as a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids aged 11 & 7) for 4 nights. It was a very enjoyable place to stay, within walking distance of everything Masham has to offer - and the Co-op was incredibly close! The twin room upstairs doesn't have a door so noise travels but once the kids were asleep it didn't affect them. We stayed during Feb, so the skylight in the main bedroom was not an issue for us. The lounge, bathroom (shower only) and kitchen were all modern / nicely done."

"Room was in good condition however it was a disabled room that was not advised on booking. There was an intermittent unpleasant smell coming from the bathroom. Seeing the disabled room I immediately requested a room change but here was not much enthusiasm as we had a 2 night stay and was told the hotel was full the following night so not much they could do and on the first night there were currently no other made up rooms. Overall the staff at the bar and in the restaurant and around the hotel were very good however breakfast on Sunday morning left a lot to be desired in terms of service as anything cooked took an age to arrive and my wife after at least half an hour gave up on hers but it did arrive as we were leaving! The grounds and facilities are excellent. On departure I was clear to my complaint on the room, I was offered a token without any any investigation and offered access to speak with the deputy manager. I declined both and hoped it would have been dealt with differently as my point was not financial and being fobbed off with £50 and having to request the manager did not feel right. My intention was to convey disappointment with the room in the hope of investigation and recognition to a problem with some assurance it would not remain an issue for others. I left feeling no one really cared! "

"The property was perfect for us, with open plan living and a bedroom and bathroom downstairs for my elderly mother.We loved having the garden to sit out in an evening."

"We really enjoyed our stay in Masham. The house is exactly as described in the listing and was just what we wanted. Would not have lost a star for cleanliness if the beakers in the bathroom and loo had been clean. Otherwise excellent. "
