"The Alverton is the perfect place to stay for exploring Cornwall and surrounds or for a peaceful get away. The hotel and grounds are lovely - our room was spacious with a sitting area in front of a large window overlooking to courtyard. The restaurant had a great ambience and food was delicious and well presented; relatively small range of choices but fresh and interesting; breakfast was plentiful and al a carte for hot food definitely an advantage. Availability of fresh Sandwiches in the bar after travel was a bonus. The carpet was quite worn in places but other furnishings were beautiful. Definitely the best place to stay in comparison to other offerings in the region"
