"The property has a quirky layout as the main living accommodation is on the 1st floor, and use of garden/hot-tub/pool and outside lounge/dining below. So there's lots of going up and down the stairs. The owners live directly underneath which was a surprise, as the main house photo gives the impression that you have the whole building. "the bed was a sofa bed although the mattress was ok every time we moved it made load squeaking noise the large entrance gates were attached to our outside wall so every time they were used it felt like the wall was moving and a very loud banging noise some gest returned after midnight some left early about 6 Am the location we good, only a short walk to the restaurants, and near the steps to the chateaux there was free parking in the street"

"The owner met us at the gate and walked us through the entire property as well as letting us know the courtyard was ours any time we wanted it. Her place was so comfortable. We felt safe, enjoyed meeting other renters in the courtyard (she has 5 rentals). We were directly across the street from the Loire River which has fantastic views. We were within walking distance to everything from restaurants, grocery stores, pharmacy to night life. We would come back to her place anytime. We loved it. ❤️"

"There were 5 of us visiting for a visit to the Loire Valley before Paris. The place was fantastic; it was like living in a castle. It was beautiful and comfortable. It was a great base for visiting wineries and chateaus. I didn’t get to meet our host as he was away on business, but he stayed in contact and his wife was lovely to work with. There are stairs involved but this is Europe and there are stairs everywhere. I would go back there if I ever return."

Nous avons visité 2 très beaux châteaux celui de Saumur et celui de Montreuil Bellay, fait une ballade à vélo depuis Saumur jusqu'au beau village médiéval de montsoreau, le long de la Loire à l'aller et à travers les vignobles au retour. 2 très bons restaurants Le Castilille ( top niveau gustatif) et la crêperie Le Bigouden à Saumur et la grange à dîmes à Montreuil Bellay.
