"This wonderful home has it all. It is centrally located to all the wonderful attractions in the South Coast. Very spacious, but warm and inviting. The gourmet kitchen was well equipped. The hot tub was very relaxing after a day of hiking. We were able to see a wonderful Northern Lights display with the wide open land around us. Would recommend and would stay here again on another trip to Iceland."

"This was our first trip to Iceland. This house was the perfect place to stay, as we had a rental car (all cars are stick shift btw so be prepared!) . There was plenty of space, wonderful appliances to use if we needed them, pleasant geothermal heating and heated water, a lovely deck and a hot tub, and walking trails nearby. The property manager gave us some very helpful tips, especially about finding local swimming/hot pot/sauna options. Very comfortable. Highly recommended!"

"The Lake House was beautiful and clean. It was a great spot to start all our adventures traversing the South side of Iceland. We arrived later in the day and had a bit of an embarrassing mix-up with our directions. However, Renate was very nice about us driving into the horse training area, sorry again for that. She was also very responsive to all our needs and our stay was just wonderful. We did not see the Northern Lights, but that may just mean we have to go back. Next time during a month...

Ideally a washer/dryer on site would be preferred (although washing in the sink and drying on the radiator works fine). It’s ideally located for day trips around the golden circle including 2 different thermal soaking pools within 30 minute drives. You can even see the geyser erupt from the deck. The door lock sticks but we eventually figured it out."

"The property was new and in a quite area. The views were great! However, the property was clearly not ready for us. We were unable to set up the TV because we did not have access to the WiFi password. We eventually found the info/welcome page on top of the kitchen cabinets which should have been placed in an area where it could easily be found. The kitchen drawers had leftover dry foods left open and other things that clearly should have been cleaned up. There was some trash left behind...
