Bread and Butter Eclipsed all other VRBO experiences!
Our family group of 7 booked Bread and Butter for its perfect location for the recent solar eclipse. The eclipse was spectacular, of course, but this rental added tremendously to our trip. It is spotless, stylishly and comfortably outfitted, and our hosts made us feel so perfectly welcomed. Local coffee, snacks, fresh cinnamon bread — they even provided a kiddie table and chairs and an assortment of children’s nature books, in line with their National Parks decor. We even enjoyed a lively game of National Parks Trivia, just one of many entertainments provided by our hosts. You shouldn’t miss staying here when you visit in Bloomington!

Cozy and comfortable home -- great location
Our family of four (two adults, two teenagers) stayed at the Bread and Butter during a short spring break getaway to Bloomington. The house was cozy, clean and comfortable, and we had everything we needed for our stay. Jane and Tony were great hosts -- responsive and communicative, providing a guidebook with suggestions for places to visit and also getting in touch when a storm approached to make sure we knew where emergency supplies were located in case of a power outage. We appreciated all of the details and special touches that made the place feel welcoming, such as fresh bread and butter, water bottles, breakfast items and snacks, etc. The beds were very comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked for cooking and baking. We also loved the location – it is a cute neighborhood just minutes away from all the things we wanted to do. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you for your hospitality!

Great hosts
My husband and I flew in to spend Christmas with our boys who are college students. The hosts were so welcoming, even left a Christmas tree for us. House has everything anyone would need, we made a full Christmas dinner no difficulty with everything available in the home. Thank you so much, would definitely stay again!

Bread and Butter
We enjoyed our stay at the Bread and Butter. The owners made it a priority for us to feel at home and their communication was fantastic. Conveniently located close to downtown and IU’s campus and allowing dogs was a huge plus! Our dog Oliver enjoyed the yard and taking walks in the neighborhood. Would definitely recommend this property.

Great house!
Everything about this cute little house is wonderful! But it starts with the owners who’s communication and attention to details were impeccable. The beds and furniture are comfy. The location and fenced in yard are a plus. So nice to have lots of parking too! We loved the bread and butter house! Just what we needed for a busy wedding weekend. Thank you!!!

Highly recommend!
We have never experienced such great accommodations from a host before. They communicated so well, provided us with lovely welcome gifts, didn’t require much for check-out, and even gifted us with birthday celebrations for my mom, who’s birthday we were there to celebrate. Lovely home, great location and clearly thoughtful and kind hosts!
