"Clean room. Very close to Appalachian trail, close to park information center, shuttle service to lower town. NO elevator, so stairs were hard for us carrying luggage. Desk clerk helped which was wonderful. Being so close to everything & being able to have a 1st floor room. Would definitely stay their again. We r in r 80's. Stairs r hard , but managed parr of the trail"

"The Salamander resort is breathtaking! Spectacular property. The staff was always willing to answer questions or to help in any way possible. Our room was clean and very comfortable. I was so happy to see that it is pet friendly. My only complaint was that guests left their dogs in their rooms while they were out. I heard a few dogs that were clearly distressed at being left alone. As a dog owner, it really upset me. The guests should be required to not leave their pets alone."

"The hotel manager was very nice and accommodating. The air conditioner needs to be upgraded. It was noisy turning on and off all night. Other than that it was a good stay."

"tiny tiny room with no closet- not sure what the “resort fee” was for- but it was in town and by a trail so that was nice. Was definitely not worth what we paid- but they get you with convenience i guess… very clean room."

"We stayed for a night for a wedding nearby at a winery and it was perfect! Very cute and relaxing, we will definitely return in the future! The place was accurately described and same as the photos. It’s perfect for a weekend getaway!"
