"We had a fantastic final summer weekend celebrating my 50th birthday with a group of friends. The house and property were perfect for us. We loved that it's clearly a beloved family vacation home which is rented out when they aren't using it, not an absent investor property. Charlie was easy to communicate with and was gracious enough to give us a very late checkout. We were lucky with beautiful weather that allowed us to get out on the water and to sit around the firepit and on the decks. (Most of the kayaks had a weight capacity that we exceeded--they seemed more for youth--but there were a couple that worked for us, as well as the rowboat.) The hot tub was a great place for stargazing. Kitchen was very well stocked. Downstairs has 2 bedrooms: one with king size bed which connects to the common bathroom, and one with queen size bed with en suite bathroom. Both downstairs bathrooms have walk-in showers. Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms, each with a queen bed and a door onto the deck, and 1 shared bathroom with tub and bidet. Laundry room is also upstairs, and plenty of beach towels, bath towels, and bedding were provided. Although our group didn't include kids or folks with accessibility needs, the house is ADA-accessible and would be a dream for kids--we all noted these features for possible future use. Our corgi loved running around the fenced yard. Note there was a $30/night pet fee that isn't mentioned in the listing, but is perfectly reasonable. We hope to stay here again!"

"Our group of 7 adults and 2 five year olds had a great time at the lake house. The home is very spacious with enough bedrooms for all to have privacy. The kitchen was well stocked and the place was immaculate. We enjoyed the lake with our own plus the available paddle boards provided. There is a large fire pit area down by the lake, where we hung out when taking a break from the water. Unfortunately due to fire bans we didn't light a fire. The view of the rising moon from the back porch was amazing. We were there during the lunar eclipse and nature didn't disappoint. Town is close by for essentials (like ice cream) and we spent a day at beautiful Scenic beach State Park. Check in was super easy. Any communications with the host were answered fast. When we needed some paper products that were not in the storage closet, they were delivered the next day. I would definitely stay here again. Don't hesitate to book."

"Our 3-generations family really enjoyed our vacation at the Trails End property, definitely one of the best rentals we've ever stayed at.The house is beautifully furnished and very well-stocked. The lake is lovely, and we made good use of the provided kayaks, pedal boat, and yard toys during our stay. Everyone had a great time!"

"Great spot for kids. Easy access. Hot tub and pond were a great combo. Great linens and very comfortable main bed. Kayaks and paddle board were fun to use. Unfortunately, no fishing poles were available. Kitchen was great but coffee maker was quite small. The pond water was clear and not deep, but muddy bottom got stirred up easily. Overall, everyone had a fun time."

"We very much enjoyed our time in this property, but it's not quite flawless. The vast majority of things fall on the good side: The house is very clean, very spacious, well-taken care of and well-appointed. You can tell it's owned and used regularly by an actual family, as opposed to strictly being used as a vacation rental. So there are lots of homey touches, and there's no lack of little things you sometimes miss in a renters-only VRBO (spices, for example, or all the necessary kitchen gadgets). Fun playrooms for big people and little people. Check-in/out were easy-peasy; Kathleen, the property manager, was super-communicative and helpful. The balcony is huge and has a nice view. The location is very convenient to both Hood Canal area and Case Inlet. The only knock on the place is that the grounds are a bit rough. The property is quite big (maybe an acre and a half) and there's a children's play area with a swing-set jungle gym. But the grounds are mostly gravel and pretty weedy/sticker-y, and it kind of seems like at one time, they were largely used as a big parking lot. That didn't cause us too much problem, but it IS the difference between four and five stars."

"Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at thie beautiful property. Whether you are sitting on the deck or one of the patios, or inside the beautifully furnished home, the views are unbeatable. Excellent location for hikes and biking. Food nearby was great. We especially loved sitting at the long table doing puzzles all night. Highly recommend this beautiful home."
