"Really enjoyed our stay here! The staff was super friendly, the hotel’s architecture was beautiful, and the food was great. The hotel itself has everything you need for a comfortable stay, including good wine to enjoy. "Great property with fabulous, well kept rooms and lovely staff. A great pool area and lots of activities for families as well as a nice play area. Breakfast not so great sadly, eggs were green, bread and pastries were stale and hard, even juice was bitter and acidic. Sadly no vegetarian food at the restaurant last night either so, have left hungry… but it was a really nice hotel. If you’re not bothered about food, it’s definitely worth the stay!"

"Very nice hotel in a very convenient location to restaurants and main attractions. Very helpful and cordial staff. Close to two places that offered breakfast options and more for coffee. Parking was great, just not close (200 m) but close enough for us. Also very quiet considering the location. There was a very loud musician in the square and we couldn’t hear him from inside the room. Small refrigerator came in handy for snacks. Great stay! I would avoid holiday weekends, not because of the hotel but because restaurants close at weird (non-posted) hours and the hotel does not have a restaurant so you’re left with a search for food options. There is a Mercadona within walking distance but it closes on holidays too."

"Casafuerte is all about the ambiance, friendliness, & top notch service. Breakfast was over the top & plentiful & our 2 dinners in the restaurant were outstanding. Sea Bass for two, asparagus stuffed with pickled quail….two menu items you must try but all is great. We were treated to taste the families own wine, a blend of 90% Tempranillo & 10% Viura & it was delicious…Daniel is quite passionate about the family “hobby”. Zarraton is a sleepy village but not far to travel through rolling hills of the Rioja to explore, taste great wine, and enjoy the historical significance of the area. Our room was clean & comfortable. The staff were all about service! There are many spots to sit enjoy a book or sip a nice glass of wine. We got a special tour of the family winery and the caves and absorb the passion they put into it. Hoping to return to enjoy the fruits of their labour. Muchas Gracias!"

"The location of the resort is a little out the way from anything but its only a short drive to Haro and Casalarreina is even closer. There was no wifi in the cabin, which was extremely disappointing given we needed to stay connected easily due to work. There was communal wifi in shared areas, and upon closer inspection the resort advertised “wifi throughout the site”, but not having access in cabins is really poor. We asked at reception and got given a different network to join but had no luck with this from our cabin either. The pool is absolutely freezing, which is such a shame because its part of the reason that we booked to stay here with a child. I understand water may not be heated. Unfortunately it meant that we couldnt use it other than dipping our feet to cool down because it was such an unpleasant temperature. Breakfast was a simple continental breakfast which was included in the price (a nice touch)."
