Intimate and extremely well-cared-for apartment of 50 m2, located on the second floor of an elegant palazzo in the old town, with elevator (some steps to reach it) and concierge. The property is located in the immediate vicinity of Piazza Maggiore and just a few steps from Via Indipendenza, the main thoroughfare leading to the old town, stretching from Piazza Maggiore all the way to the railway station.
Guests have access to a fully equipped kitchen and are provided with bed linens and towels. Upon arrival, our staff will be waiting at the apartment to explain how everything works and to hand over the keys. During your stay, our staff is available to address any requests or concerns.
The apartment was completely renovated and equipped with new and functional furniture in February 2017. The heating is centralized throughout the building and can be adjusted by thermostats on each radiator, while both, the living and sleeping area, are equipped with air conditioning units.
The property features next-generation finishes: the original windows have been restored and equipped with insulating, sound-proof double glazing. It overlooks the scenic façade of St. Peter\'s Cathedral, though it is removed from the street and, therefore, particularly quiet. In order to preserve the style of ancient aristocratic buildings in Bologna, the floors were left with their original hexagonal terracotta tiles and the ceiling of the living room with the existing plaster decoration. The property is easily accessible, but it is necessary to climb six steps to reach the entrance to the lift.
The entrance leads into a small hallway giving access to the kitchen and living room. In the living room, a magnificent Murano glass chandelier captures the attention of guests, who have at their disposal a comfortable sofa that can be converted into a French-size bed (140 x 200 cm), located right in front of a 49” flat-screen TV (cable TV with TIM Vision). An arch lamp lights the dining table seating six. The decor is completed by desk and chair, an elegant cupboard and large double-door wardrobe.
The customized kitchen is equipped with every modern appliance such as a refrigerator/freezer, an oven, a microwave, a dishwasher and an induction hob. The sleeping area overlooks an internal courtyard and is very quiet. It is furnished with a double bed (160 x 200 cm) and sliding-door wardrobe. In addition, the apartment also features a storage area where household cleaning and care supplies are kept.
The bathroom includes elegant tiles and a large customized shower cabin. The apartment also includes a combination washing machine and dryer, which is very convenient and functional.

This property is located in an enviable position, just a few steps from the heart of Bologna, its magnificent Piazza Maggiore. This location is great for guests who wish to explore the city on foot. Within a few minutes’ walk, guests can also reach all the most interesting monuments in the city centre, as well as the buildings that house numerous art exhibits or the most renowned restaurants.
Important: guests are required to pay a tourist tax not included in the price (€ 4,60 per adult, per night. It is applied only on the first 5 nights).

The apartment is located in the historic centre of Bologna, in a palazzo under the tutelage of the Superintendence of Fine Arts and which was once home to cardinals and bishops.
The apartment is right next to Palazzo Ghisilardi, home of the Medieval Civic Museum of Bologna, and the Exhibition Centre of Palazzo Fava, with its Carracci Fava Literary-Café.
In its immediate vicinity are points of great historical and artistic interest, such as the prestigious Academy of Fine Arts, the renowned Opera Comunale, the famous Jewish ghetto, and the Garisenda and Asinelli towers, which, like Piazza Maggiore, are less than a two-minute walk away.
Via Indipendenza, the most well known shopping street in Bologna, is about 30 m. away. The alleyways next to Piazza Maggiore, centered on Via Pescherie Vecchie, with all their food and wine shops, are also located at a very short distance.
Public Transportation:
Along the adjacent Via Indipendenza it is possible to take the bus to reach the train station, the fair and the stop of the shuttle that takes you to the airport.
Parking:
The apartment is located inside the ZTL and an access-ticket is required.
There is a private garage very close, in Via San Giorgio, where you can fill out a form and get access to the ZTL.
Another garage, just outside the ZTL, is in Piazza VIII Agosto. Possibility of monthly subscription at € 200 per month, daily cost € 24 for 24h. We recommend that guests reach it by entering from Via Irnerio or Via Capo di Lucca, and then turn into Via Alessandrini and follow the signs to the entrance.
Information on traffic in the center of Bologna:
In the case of multi-month stays (from 3 months upwards) it is possible to request a permit to enter the historic center. For customers who stay for a short period, the Municipality allows entry by car into the center only for 3 days in the course of a month or for 4 consecutive days. Access is guaranteed by a daily ticket (€ 6).
Pets:
Pets are allowed (€ 20+VAT per night, limited to the first 5 nights).
