"This is a nice hotel with a cool vibe. Located through a short passage in a mall-type location, check-in is on the 7th (top) floor. Right from the start when you check in with its automated keypad system (don’t worry, the attendant will assist) and the decor, you’ll understand the fun, modern vibe. The signage is all fun and invites you to smile at the descriptions they use.
The rooms are on the smaller side but are sharp and pretty well appointed. The shower is a little unusual because it’s a glass box near the center of the room and accessed through the WC. So, if you want more privacy in case you’re traveling with someone you aren’t comfortable seeing naked, I’d say ask if all the rooms are like that. There are no minibars or even small refrigerators, but the staff offered to store whatever I wanted in their coolers behind the front desk. Following the vibe, they have a Marshall guitar amplifier in every room, and I suppose can lend you a guitar like at Hard Rock hotels.
Uniquely, the bar/restaurant with a very limited food offering (pizza, salads, charcuterie), is open 24/7. If you want food in your room, there is no room service so you must pay at the bar and take it to your room yourself.
Every one of the staff I encountered could not have been more pleasant or willing to help.
Perhaps a way to describe this hotel brand is W Hotels meets Hard Rock Hotels.
I would definitely return when visiting Geneva or if I found another Ruby Claire Hotel in another city.
