Waters Fall is a remarkable mountain home located in the Hound Ears resort community, just minutes from Blowing Rock, Boone, and Historic Valle Crucis, however, you may never leave the home and the gorgeous surroundings. Water cascades down the property and runs under the spacious deck and cantilevered screened porch before falling another 20' on the rocks below. Relax with family, friends or just on your own in your private grotto.

The charming home features modern amenities while maintaining the coziness of an authentic, mountain A-frame. Enjoy High-speed internet and convenient charging ports throughout the house. A great room with massive wood burning stone fireplace (wood supplied) and comfy sitting area, along with a 55” smart TV with the most popular apps including YouTube TV, Netflix and Amazon Video. An HDMI cable connects to your computer for direct streaming. The updated kitchen includes a double convection oven, quiet dishwasher, garbage disposal, microwave, and Amazon Alexa voice assistant. Each floor includes a Master bedroom with full bath. The upstairs bath includes a whirlpool tub and separate standup shower along with a full-sized washer and dryer. Climb the spiral stairs to the Eagle's Nest loft -- a perfect, private space for a tree-house-like escape.

Outside, enjoy the spacious deck and soak in the beautiful view. The screened porch includes a dining table for 8 and comfy seating for a good read or that afternoon nap. You’re only a few minutes to Blowing Rock and the Blue Ridge Parkway, Valle Crucis or Boone… and just a short drive to Banner Elk, Grandfather Mountain, and all the local ski resorts. The home includes convenient, flat parking for two vehicles and it is only one small step from street level to the house entrance -- a mountain house rarity.

The Waters Fall Host Fee provides for Hound Ears 24/7 guarded/gated security, 24/7 emergency response, road clearing & grounds care and maintenance, garbage pickup, firewood, propane for outdoor fire pit, and access to the Hound Ears boulders & picnic area and Hound Ears trails. The home also includes a 24/7 outdoor security camera mounted under the eave of the porch.

Waters Fall is a “special moments” home, perfect for exploring all the area has to offer, or simply enjoying a getaway to the soothing sight and sound of water with the sun shining through the trees.

We are very familiar with the area but never imagined such a cute chalet was tucked back into Hound Ears! It had everything we could need, and the check-in process was seamless; I am not surprised that Waters Fall has so many high reviews. We will be back to stay in Lynn’s beautiful home again soon! The location was ideal, with the patio, screened porch, and such comfortable beds! Can’t wait to return.

Great secluded cabin with waterfall!

Our family loved this cabin and the host was very communicative and helpful. Our daughter sat outside and read her book while listening to the waterfall and we enjoyed the wood burning fireplace on the chilly nights. The loft was adorable and our daughter felt like a princess in a tower. We were even able to go work out in the community gym. Absolutely love this place and will be returning!

Very nice mountain getaway

This was a terrific home base to spend a few days exploring the Boone area and escape the lowland heat. The house is tidy and clean, but the real stars are the large deck overlooking the creek, the screened in gazebo, and the creek itself, which our 5 & 11y/o loved exploring.

The Waterfall was perfect

The sound of the waterfall was the perfect soundtrack to a relaxing week. The porch makes the house, perfect place to sit and relax, we spent more time outside than in, the screened in area was a plus. Check in was easy and the house had everything we needed. With the construction on 105 we utilized back roads to get around.

Easy, comfy place to be, quiet in late Feb, which served us well. Even a full day of rain was ok, cuz living, kitchen, dining was big enough for space yet all together. Surely warmer months have even more to offer, as there is tons of deck & screen porch living that was not conducive to our weather timing.

Tucked away from city life!

What a beautiful property. Feels great to escape the busy work life for some R & R. The sound of the creek every night was like chicken soup to the soul. Loved to see the family all come together for thanksgiving here. This cabin was the perfect place to connect with nature, roast s’mores and sit by a warm fire. Lynn the owner was very attentive and made sure if you needed anything, she was there. We will be back to recharge our batteries again!

Memorable stay

This was our 2nd year staying and we will most definitely be back again. Lynn's cabin is so well cared for and her attention to detail is superb. She clearly communicates very well and you can immediately tell she cares about her guests. You will feel so comfortable and at ease at this cabin. We slept very well and the community is very welcoming. Fortunately it snowed again this visit for us which only added to the wonderful experience. Relaxing and Peaceful

Loved our stay at Waters Fall. We had such a relaxing time. We spent most of our time outside on the screened porch. It was so relaxing to sit and read while listening to the sound of the water in the falls under the deck. The house is very charming, too. The decor and furniture are set up so you can certainly enjoy yourself without fear of damaging anything. The bed was very comfortable. This was close to several of our favorite places to visit, Boone, Blowing Rock and West Jefferson. We hope to enjoy this property again in the future.

Small cozy gem

Waterfalls is a beautiful cozy home in a fantastic neighborhood. We truly enjoyed our time in this home and Lynn the host was fantastic, always very responsive. Couple of notes the home is a little outdated and be very careful with little ones and elderly folks as the stairs in the home are very slippery if your wearing socks. I would say six is the most that would fit. With that said the outdoors is where it’s at you will create great memories just sitting around with the family and enjoying great meals. I would highly recommend this place and look forward to staying here again.

Vacation of a lifetime

Our family (of 7) vacationed here at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. We didn’t foresee the extent of the changes coming our way socially; however, as information came our way, we felt we were in the best place. It was a social distancing paradise. The cabin’s front porch overlooks a gorgeous spring where our children hiked and played anytime we were there. The fireplace and outdoor sitting area provided cozy spaces to read and relax. Amazing hikes (where we saw very few other people) were only a short drive away. We traveled with intentions of cooking meals in the cabin and staying to ourselves, and that is exactly the experience we got! I highly recommend this cabin. We’ll be back

Review

Housekeeping could improve as to dusting and removing spider webs from lamp shades and cookware was horrible. If owner periodically goes into home they should look at the pots and pans and ask themselves if they would use them to cook or eat from. As little as $200.00 would replace the cookware! Cookware was the worst I have ever seen in a rental home.
