Het koppel dat de accommodatie host, heeft letterlijk een paleisje gecreëerd. Het complex bestaat uit diverse voormalige 'gewone' woningen die nu met elkaar verbonden zijn tot een klein hotelcomplex. Vele authentieke details in de woningen zijn bewaard gebleven; de eigenaren hadden zelf echt buikpijn toen op een bepaalde wand de muurschilderingen niet goed zichtbaar meer waren. Zelden een hostes gehad die meer bij je blijft; vrijwel het gehele ontbijt bleef ze met ons praten. De parkeergelegenheid voor het complex is krap. Maar er wordt VOLLEDIG met je meegedacht en de hostes trekt voor je het weet de zwaarste koffer uit je handen om die naar binnen te dragen. De host liep met ons mee naar een eetcafé zodat we de weg niet kwijt raakten. Wat een lieve mensen!! Achter op het complex ligt een klein maar heerlijk zwembad. Je kan er uiteraard in alle rust om heen zitten. Mocht het een keer regenen of té zonnig zijn, dan is er voor het zwembad ook nog een volledig ingerichte 'boekenserre' waar je ook kan rusten. Het ontbijt is beperkt, maar inclusief verse lekkernij en voldoet zeker. Het complex heeft voldoende schaduwplekken (en zonplekken). De kamer die wij kregen is authentiek. Dus verschillende plafond en vloerhoogtes. Oude details. Wel nieuw sanitair. Prima airco. Héél anders dan 'gewone' hotelkamer. Wij vonden het fijn. Zoek je standaard, kies dit dan niet. Dank voor jullie goede service!!

borda close to vila vicosa

Fantastic welcome and advise throughout the short stay, some great typical Portuguese restaurants in the town. The hotel is old but very clean and rooms are spacious. The lady owner could not be of more help

Bastante desilusión. La publicidad del hotel no tenía mucho que ver con la habitación, que estaba fuera de la casa y tipo más bien casa rural. Estuvimos cómodos y los propietarios son agradables, pero el alojamiento no respondía en absoluto a las expectativas (relación calidad-precio escasa). Aviso!!! la central de reservas de Portugal pasa el cobro de la habitación por adelantado.
