This was a very clean and maintained hotel right across from the main Bordeaux train station Gare St Jean. It’s also walking distance to a lot of the central Bordeaux attractions. The staff were excellent on check in/out and during the stay. The lobby is small but quaint with coffee and a little sitting area with games and books and a ukulele. Would highly recommend this especially if taking the train.

Lovely hotel near the train station

Lovely hotel near the main train station (I love those in one European cities!). Great staff, very helpful and kind. Small rooms but I was there for business, so it was a perfect stay.

So conveniently located for the train station, and if you manage to get a room looking out over the train station building, it’s very picturesque! Can be a little bit noisy during the night, but for the convenience factor, I can overlook that!

Good stay

Nice hotel close to the Bordeaux train station. The area's a bit seedy but you never know around a train station. Only paper glasses in the room and thin walls and no coffee maker. Front desk staff very kind and informative.

Booked at short notice after a flight cancellation. The hotel is situated very conveniently at Gare Saint Jean and is a twenty minute walk to the city centre conveniently passing the Marche de Capuchins on the way. In this instance what I paid did not represent good value for me and I was given an adjoining room separated only a very thin door and it contained a very noisy neighbour.

The noise outside the room woke me up at 5am and the matress was about 10cm thick and moved around as it wasn't attached to the bed and was hot and uncomfortable so it was impossible to get a good night's sleep. There were homeless people sleeping in the doorway and some unsavoury charcters around at night and as a woman travelling alone I did not feel safe.

Hotel is in an old building and parts of the interior, especially the corridors, need renovating. Bathroom was clean with modern fittings, but it was desperately cramped. There was hardly space to move and there was no clear space even to hang the toilet rolls or towels. Bedroom was clean with comfortable bed. If you opened the window for much needed fresh air, it was noisy. It is across the road from the main station. But that meant easy transport everywhere. It is on two tram routes.
