"We attended a wedding at Friars Carse over 20 years ago and as it was a convenient stop on our way to the highlands, thought we would try it again. I was afraid it may not have aged well but it is actually even better than I remembered. It is a beautiful place to stay, housekeeping is excellent, staff are helpful and discreetly friendly and it is just so relaxing. We stayed in Redwood which I believe is the honeymoon suite and nothing could be more idyllic. Very much looking forward to future visits. Thank you. "

"A spontaneous stop over due to traveling a long journey up to Oban. Hotel is very basic but clean, and excellent value for money. Check in was easy and staff were lovely. Only downsides were that the doors slam shut and quite a lot of them are squeaky and creeky (WD40 can easily sort that out). As a light sleeper my slumber was disturbed a fair bit throughout the night. So not a great night sleep for me. Also had to pay £5 for parking (description states free onsite parking) but is still worth a fiver."

"Room was immaculate, had everything we needed. Breakfast was delicious and a nice choice. We had our own bathroom and were given a key to come and go from the building."

"Last minute booking as I was driving north. Shortly after received a courtesy call checking for arrival time. Very large car park. Close to the motorway (no noise issues) Very polite receptionist. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. I have zero complaints from my overnight stop. "
