Pros: Safe neighborhood, off street parking, great view and deck, good price for 2 bedroom/2 bath, very responsive host. Cons: Lots of cosmetic blemishes, furnishings felt like they were salvage pieces, 2 uncomfortable couches, old mattresses, rusted washer/dryer unit, blinds didn't close fully, guest bathroom faucet dripped constantly, presence of cobwebs and daddy longlegs spiders (5) in master bedroom. Great price for a 2 bedroom/2 bath, but lower quality property, in my opinion. Manage your expectations.

Uneven countertop. Cabinet prevents entry door from opening fully.

I’m in the construction business and my assessment is that the unit is simply not ready for occupancy yet with many things finished very poorly. Too many things to list but painting, wall / drywall work is not complete, floors are uneven, or has ‘temporary’ patches and in one case has a hole in the vinyl flooring through to the subfloor. Can lights in living area are all different types and just look sketchy and as simple as it sounds, the coffee table had a broken and poorly repaired leg making it useless and again a danger. Though it was indeed high winds and rainy on our visit, a property located where this is should easily accommodate for this type of weather as it is not unusual. That said, the sliding glass doors in the main bedroom leaked water so the carpet was soaked and on our last night water leaked from outside to the track lighting in the main bedroom and threw the circuit breaker making the lights unusable and creating an electrical danger. Caulking around tubs is non existent making the showers look dirty. Bedding provisions ( blankets, etc. ) were not pleasant or well maintained. It’s disappointing because the location is very good to be able to get into Boston but still enjoy the ocean and a small town atmosphere during your stay. Also- received no ‘instructions’ emailed to me and no book in the unit to tell you what to do when leaving, etc. had to reach out to get the WiFi, etc. like I said, so much potential but unit is not finished.

The views were incredible but you the rental itself is not. The rental smelled of mold and mildew. The floor is falling in in several locations. Earth worms were coming out of the floor. There were so many spiders in the rental that we were afraid to sleep in the beds. The floors and walls were dirty. If there would have been accurate reviews posted of this property i would have never spent money on it.

Muggent, fugtigt, Beskidt og fedtet køkken og ovn, Køkken gulv råddent så man træder igennem. Dør til toilet kan ikke lukkes. Aircon utæt i soveværelse, hul tætnet med et håndklæde, Toilet bræt løs, vandet kan ikke lukkes på det ene badeværelse, Beskidt vasketøj efterladt i skab i soveværelse, Kroge i badeværelse falder af, Sofabord, benet er knækket, Terrassen er beskidt og muggen, hynder til stole mugne og jordslået, Det drypper ned fra etagen ovenpå, netdøren til terassen falder af, beklædningsbrædder mangler på huset, meget byggeaffald i indkørslen, lamper meget beskidte indvendigt, ingen teskeer, lampe virker ikke i soveværelse, sundhedsskadeligt at overnatte i huset.

My family of 5 had a great stay. Read the prior reviews and understand that this is not a perfect place and may have some cosmetic flaws, but everything works as it should. It provided ample space for our family with everything we needed. Finding affordable space to stay in the Boston area can be challenging, but this place fit what we needed with great proximity to the beach as well!

Needs update but Great view

The location was quiet. View was nice. Floors need updated and carpets cleaned. Shower head in front bathroom needs cleaned or replaced, tub needs refinished. Owner was nice and easy to talk to. I think could use some curtains and new sheets. Porch furniture needs to be cleaned and porch is unuseable in the rain. It is a basement apartment was musty when we first got therebbut lysol abd sented candles helped. Overall we enjoyed our stay, but definitely needs lots of updates throughout.

Location is very nice, 5min. walk to the beach. 25 min. to Quincy Center by car another 15min. to Downtown Boston by Train. Property not really clean, esp. 1 Cupboard in kitchen smells inside as if the sink is not entirely tight. Windows need cleaning too.

It was a good location for doing things south of Boston. Didn't know there was so many level steps up and down inside the house. Very minimal and basic. Need some cosmetic work. Over all good.

Not impressed.

Great location but I hesitate to elaborate because I’ve seen the responses when people have given a negative review. My bad for not checking reviews prior to booking. We spent as little time there as possible. Prior to this we have had great experiences with rentals through VRBO.

The condo had everything we needed. We could walk to the beach and dinner to avoid driving and parking. Being up the hill allows for a great view of the beach and ocean.

Beautiful oceanfront view. No frills accommodations

The property is on a steep hill with amazing views of the picturesque beachfront. With that being said: Overall, this property needs maintenance and safety improvements. The entry way has weed overgrowth, tv , and broken furniture and trash. (Not referring to trashcans) Living room couch futon is unstable, uncomfortable and has two 4 inch metal framed bars protruding where your legs go. Step carefully inside primary bedroom subfloor that has "potholes" and large divots covered by carpet. Furnishings are minimal. Expect only one small wall mounted light with bed and box spring on carpet (no frame) positioned next to tiered steps. Navigating getting in/out of bed at night is challenging. Additionally, due to its excessive height with sharp edged trim into the primary en-suite tub/shower area, tripping/slipping hazard rates a 10/10. Second bathroom has rusted shower rod and curtain without liner. If you plan on cooking in, the kitchen contains new pots and pans. The interior microwave door is rusted . The freezer ice maker inoperative and has interior mold. The refrigerator has unstable shelves , drawers and components that don't fit.

Clean and comfortable! Exactly what we needed during a family crisis. Make it 100% by adding a comfortable couch in the living room! But very responsive owner and we plan to return. Do visit! You won’t regret it.

The house keeper did not do a thorough cleaning. There was an open package of crackers under the main bed, and a sample spoon on the floor. The main bed felt like you were in Trendelenburg all night. The carpet in the main bedroom was stained so we kept our sandals on at all times. We did not feel comfortable using the en-suite bathroom due to the toilet seat needing repair, the tub being too high to get into and looking stained, and the cabinet doors being broken. , We showered off the kitchen, however it did not have a shower liner. Overall it looks like they made a good attempt at doing a basement over, but it was not a luxury condominium!. The view and deck was wonderful, however the greenery should be trimmed back for a more comfortable sitting experience. The hill to get back to the "condo" was quite steep but us old people managed! The distance to the beach is the best part.. short walk to the beach!

Great location

The host is very communicative and easy to reach. The space was clean with minimal amenities. Bring your own beach towels, extra pillows, extra blankets, cooking supplies, etc. There is room for a queen sized air mattress which will be more comfortable than the living room futon so if that’s an option for you, bring it. The highlights of this space are the amazing location and the huge porch with ocean view. We spent most of our time on the porch. I wish the porch couches had cushions so we could have really enjoyed it but the view was everything. Beach is about a 5 minute walk downhill. Several cafes nearby as well.

Nice location

Location is perfect. Walking distance to the beach. Check in and out process is very smooth. Peter the owner is very nice and easy to work with.
