"Excellent hotel, service is great, food in pub is spot on. One word of warning, and this is an expedia issue is that the pin location that they have set for this hotel is 1.8 miles off, meaning if you are there for an event you are 35-40 minutes walk away from where you thought you was. Very misleading. Not the hotels fault but there is nowhere else to put this. Hotel was spot on, thank you"

"Good sized room and the bed was huge. The rooms are above the bar area which was fine as its wasn't too noisy. The car parking is easy as there is loads of space. I used this location as it was a short drive to the Water Sports Centre in Nottingham. the kitchens close about 8:30 ish so if you are late back for food I can recommend the Indian about 100mtrs down the road. All in all a nice location for a few days away"

"We enjoyed our stay immensely. however, we were disappointed there were no rural walks in the immediate vicinity, having been assured country walks were available. Otherwise than that we had no complaints."

"Wonderful one night stay as part of exploring Rutland Water and area over a weekend. Worth staying here for the fabulous food alone (amazing menu and incredibe service). Room was large, clean and comfortable. Lovely peninsula walk (5.5 or 7 mile options) right on the doorstep and a short drive to two nature / bird reserves. Would recommend and we will hopefully be back."

"A nice family stay, quiet village pub. The host was very helpful including recommending an evening meal in the next village which was great (fighting cocks pub). It seems the venue has stopped doing food, but having said that she still provided us with a perfectly good breakfast. The room was clean, a nice little street village view, we all slept well. Great for country walking, a family visit and somewhere quieter in a local pub."
