"The room was lovely and clean. Had a fridge, which was really appreciated. Had the two grandchildren with us. Binned room for four, but only left biscuits for two! Lol. Loved the pool. Nice little shallow one for small kids. Didn't eat there, but would recommend it."

The only issue is the swimming pool, which has reserved times for other people (such as classes), and we are not allowed to use it during those periods. This was not made clear at the time of booking."

"The rooms were nice and clean, hotel staff were polite and helpful. They have a new booking system which caused a minor delay but was only an extra couple of minutes. Noise wasn't an issue, neither was parking. The only down side was only 1 lift was working, which was an issue on Sunday morning. Would happily stay again. "

"Staff attitude was bad. They charged me £100(for incidentals but charged an additional £67.99 for dinner instead of taking from the 100 ! And haven't returned it either. Interesting property that was cold and dark - no hearing in room. Looking grubby.. No grab bar in tiled shower. "

"Hotel is lovely with a great setting on the river, staff were very helpful and friendly, breakfast was first class, as was the Evening meal, did feel that the tables in the restaurant were a bit dated so a cloth to cover the table would have made it look so much nicer, I appreciate that the building is very old and had I known how noisy it was going to be I would have asked for an upstairs room, you could hear every step because the floorboards were very creaky and none of room doors had a soft close mechanism so there was constant door banging, it would also have been helpful if all guests could be reminded to be considerate by keeping the noise down when returning to there rooms late at night on the information sheet in the room. Having said all that it is a beautiful place in a great location and I will definitely be returning in a few months. Thank you "
