"We had a very pleasant stay at Villa des Remparts; the rooms and common areas were spotless clean and nicely presented, plus excellent size for the whole family and our dog. The kitchen area and our breakfast was excellent; a well stocked fridge was waiting for us with a good choice of food options catering for various tastes for children and adults alike. The added bonus was to have the whole place to ourselves, meaning quiet kitchen and common areas in the morning, plus parking opportunity the night before upon arrival. We had an amazing time here and we will definitely return in the future. Thanks for everything! 🤗"

"Lovely gite in a quiet village, with a self service farm shop a 5 minute walk away. Shower/wet room and toilet on the ground floor,excellent for anyone with restricted mobility.Upper floor and 2 beds accessed via a beautifully made staircase., they have a very talented carpenter!The property was clean and tidy on arrival, and it has a good sized enclosed back garden, great for dogs and small children.Communication with the owners was excellent, any queries were resolved quickly, bearing in mind that the owners also run a family farm.The village is very pleasant, but has no village boulangerie. Fresh eggs, fruit, veg and locally made cakes and preserves are available at the farm shop just down the road. The nearest shops are a short drive away. Guines and Ardres are both nearby, and we recommend the Clinique Veterinaire du Camp du Drap D'or for the return trip to the UK for animals. The Foret de Guines is excellent for dog walks and mountain biking, Nordic Walking also being a favourite pastime here.We'll be back :)"

"Gîte confortable et très propre. Spacieux, lumineux, les portes et fenêtres sont orientées vers la cour intérieure, de sorte qu'il n'y a pas de nuisance sonore venant de la route. L'exploitation agricole est toujours en activité mais absolument pas dérangeante. Notre chien y était bienvenu, sauf à l'étage, ce qui est tout-à-fait normal. Les propriétaires étaient très accueillants; une mention spéciale pour Madame, auteure de la décoration "champêtre -chic-sympa". Un très léger bémol: nous aurions apprécié quelques mesurettes de café moulu afin de pouvoir nous préparer une petite tasse après notre voyage. ...Nobody's perfect !!! En résumé : des propriétaires et une adresse à recommander."

"Property was excellent, however finding it from the address maisonette a 55 m du lac Ardres if inaccurate and it is not until you scroll down do you find the exact address. "

"I physically cannot express my displeasure with this place. Staff are useless don't help in the slightest. The list of things included is a total lie. The kitchen appliances don't work properly, the TV broke and they don't even try to rectify this and they don't provide the basics such as towels for showering and toilet paper. At the end of our stay we were told to clean the house basically from top to bottom which means they don't then clean after us, bearing in mind the house was dusy and dirty when we came. The place claims to be pet friendly but your dog is not aloud on the sofa, bed or even the upstairs and cannot enjoy a garden because the chickens roam around freely antagonising your pet. This place was a complete disappointment and we will not be returning. Had to give 1 star because 0 is not an option! The host messaged us to say the TV was working yet we have photos to prove it wasn't!"
