The best. Traveling with 2 friends for the last 30 years over much of the world, I would rank this one of the most delightful small hotels. Lovely third floor suite overlooking Lake Bled complete with the perfect castle highlighted by a rainbow. Staff was young and professional while maintaining a warm sense of humor. We stayed a total of four nights while hiking in the Julian Alps. The hotel was very accommodating, at one point allowing us to extend an extra night when the weather was bad. The staff (whose English overall was quite good) also helped us change a reservation at one of the mountain huts. The breakfast buffet is generous, and the free wi-fi was easy to use and had a good connection. We would stay at the Kompas again if in KG.
