We found the restaurant offering for dinner with the banquet was difficult. There were four of us and the banquet dinner offer was min for 3 people. One other person wanted to do a la carte but the mgt advised they could not do this. The waiter in charge was abrupt banged the bottle of wine on the table. We all ended up having one course dinner and walked out unhappy. The banguet dinner was $78 (i think) x 3, and 1 x a la carte meal. The result the 3 x banquet would have been financially beneficial to the hotel + 1 x a la carte. Instead we just ordered our main and walked out unhappy. Otherwise everything else was amazing.

Great bedding and bathroom, esp shower- best i have ever had. However we were expecting 2 bedrooms plus a living/eating area with a table Instead of a ledge. Instead we had to walk through our son’s room to get to ours. So not a 2br suite. We’ll read the specs more carefully in future. A mirror in the main bedroom would also be useful.

Breakfast was a small buffet but everything was delicious. The staff in the restaurant were lovely, however they didn’t mention that everytime we asked for a coffee thinking it was part of the buffet breakfast that there were additional charges. The bar/ restaurant was understaffed. The food was adequate, but burgers were raw. Bar staff not interested in food that couldn’t be eaten neither were Wednesday morning reception staff. The rooms were spacious with a sunny outlook. Bathrooms and linen require immediate updating and cleaning. Room cleaning/servicing between nights was poor. Benches not wiped. Staff are not all friendly. However, the Tuesday morning manager seemed approachable.

Staff were super friendly and helpful! A special shoutout to Jeremy who had helped us with dinner bookings and TV connection. The Gibraltar room is decently sized. The king bed was comfortably big however, the mattress is not so firm so if you’re used to sleeping on firm mattresses the first night will need some adjusting to. Room comes with sheer and blackout curtains, great for lighting and sleeping. Overall cleanliness can be improved but at least the bed was clean so we’re quite happy with that. You’ll need to ask for amenities such as dental kits and bathrobes. Apart from basic housekeeping such as making the bed and providing new towels, it doesn’t look like refill amenities and refreshments. It can get noisy near the door area, but it didn’t bother us. The room we stayed in also has a fantastic view of the golf course (hole 1), so overall, our experience was very positive.
