"Live Edge Lodge was perfect for our family gathering of 11. There were more than enough beds and all the rooms were very spacious. The house was very clean and all the furnishings were upscale and felt like you were staying at a luxury resort. The home was well stocked with everything needed in the dual kitchens and laundry rooms, the multiple dining areas both inside and out and the multiple couches and entertaining areas including the pool table, fuse ball and air hockey. We highly recommend this amazing home to anyone visiting the Lake Gaston area. Edie was always very responsive to any questions and helpful when early check in was requested."

"What a beautiful home. A unique log cabin with rustic appearances and modern conveniences on a huge lot and great lakefront space to swim and play. So much space inside and outside on multiple porches and decks, we could have brought all the cousins and friends and would have had plenty of room for all."

"This house was the perfect size and location for our short Labor Day weekend trip. We were two families (4 adults, 3 kids) and there was more than enough room for everyone. We also really enjoyed the location, directly on Lake Gaston and in reasonable proximity to parks and stores. We also liked the stocked kitchen, and everything was available and accessible to use the grill and the kayaks. Our only issues were with cleanliness and the stocking of the bathrooms and kitchen. The place was generally clean (linens, carpet, floors and furniture), but there is some bad staining in both the bathtubs. The bedroom with the bunk beds had the faint smell of cat urine, which was not pleasant. Meanwhile, the bathrooms could have been better stocked. There was only one roll of toilet paper in each and we had to go hunting throughout the house to find hand soap for the sinks. Meanwhile, the kitchen could have been better stocked for actual use — such as more trash bags, paper towels, aluminum foil and dish towels. There was no place to set dishes to dry, but also no towels to dry them. The sponges were also old (new sponges should always be available). Meanwhile, the lights on the dryer control panel don’t work so it’s a guessing game on what settings you’re using. Finally, the area around the kayak launch needs to cleaned up. Lots of trash In the water, esp. So generally, our stay was great overall. There were just some small details that could have been paid better attention to."
