"Perfect for us with our dog, lovely area to run around and investigate, garden does need a bit of a tidy up Some of slabs on patio loose but not near the edge Good open plan for kitchen diner, couple of kitchen stools would have been nice for us to eat breakfast and look out the window, didn’t use dining table, only for some of our stuff- a bit quirky Useful washing machine and airer Lounge compact and place generally warm Bedroom enough space for everything, bed comfortably, needs some nice pillows (Aeyla), forget to take my own every time we go away Stairs steep but well lit, felt handrail a bit short near top and could have been higher Really loved the place as was ideal for what we wanted and where we wanted to visit"

"The bedroom was spacious and clean. Everywhere was clean and in good condition - no peeling paint or mustiness you sometimes get with old buildings. The staff could not do enough for you. Everywhere was warm and comfortable. The bars were busy enough to have ambience, but not packed. The pool was brill."

"The house was well equipped & mostly super clean. Very bad black mould around one of the bedroom windows. Female member of staff I spoke to about a problem was extremely unhelpful. However the property manager was excellent and seemed to do all the things she said couldn’t be done. All in all a great family house for a family get together but not the best communication skills."

"For a chain hotel in a rural town, this hotel provides what you expect. The room was comfortable and the hotel was in reasonable condition. Staff were friendly and the check in process is very easy. The location of the hotel was just a 10 min walk to the centre of town and local bus connections. Wifi was free, but was a bit patchy at times."

"We stayed over the Christmas week, and I was disappointed that there wasn’t even a subtle nod at it being Christmas. The crockery and cutlery in the cupboards were dirty and all had to be washed before they could be used.The village, however was lovely, we used both of the pubs frequently. It is central for days out, and we found lovely walks in the village."
