"We booked this hotel while on the road at the last minute. We booked it just after midnight and arrived within the hour, only to find a sign on the door saying they were out and would not be back until 7 am. So we had to book another hotel. That is frustrating, but not as frustrating as the fact that they then refused to refund my money for the room, despite the fact that we could not get in. Terrible customer service. Do not use this hotel."

SureStay Hotel by Best Western Summersville

8/10 Good

"Easy parking close to your room just tricky driveway entrance be careful you need to drive pass Dairy Queen lot. Clean rooms. Hard couch."

Elk River Hotel

8/10 Good

"The property was warm and charming, and the host was absolutely wonderful! She went above and beyond for our stay and Franscisco made us breakfast the morning of our checkout and it was delicious! You couldn't ask for a nicer staff!! She even brought out the big TV and let us watch the OSU game in the lobby so that we didn't have to sit in our room to watch the game. I just can't say enough about how kind and generous the staff was!! The only issue that we had was the glamping dome that we stayed in. The mildew smell hit you right when you walked in the door and we eventually got used to it, but we did have to run the dehumidifier and air conditioner just to help dissipate it a little bit. We wish the deck would have been blown off as well since we tracked quite a few pine needles into the room, so we had to leave our shoes on for most of our stay. We would definitely stay at the property again however; we would probably stay in one of the rooms inside the Inn versus one of the domes. The town was having their trick or treat so it was a joy to see the kids and parents walking around dressed up and enjoying themselves."

Hampton Inn Summersville

8/10 Good

"This was the second Hampton Inn I stayed in during my recent trip. Both places, including this one and the one in Hendersonville NC had dogs that were barking near my room. For this hotel I told the staff and they paid a visit or called since the barking stopped. I don't agree with the pet friendly policy, I'm allergic to dogs and cats and the last thing I want to hear is barking while on vacation. Otherwise it was a very nice stay but not sure I will stay at any more Hamptons."
