Grand Hotel des Lles Borromees is a wonderfully elegant hotel set lakeside with beautiful grounds and gardens. My wife and I extended our stay from 3 to 5 nights - expensive, but well worth it. Be careful staying at the Regina Palace - you may be overwhelmed as there is style everywhere you look. Older building, not too large by modern standards, nice elegant rooms. Just beautiful downstairs areas. Large breakfast room with terrace overlooking the lawns and one main restaurant. Access to Spa and indoor pool included. Outdoor pool among the gardens. Spacious rooms with well appointed bathroom and massage shower. Restaurant offerings were above average with a good wine list. Friendly staff and overall pleasant stay. Really quick access (20 minutes) by car to Malpensa airport.

Staff was very accommodating, courteous, and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. Stayed a week and it felt like home! Large pool, and gym. Which were clean and very usuable. There was a horse track across the street, but it was not loud and it did not dictract me from my sleep.

I based my booking on the free airport shuttle. The hotel exceeded my expectations! We arrived by train. The hotel is about a 10 min walk from the train station. There's a short section walking along a busy road (no sidewalk, but a trail), but an easy walk. The hotel room was basic and clean. Comfotable bed, spacious bathroom, some rooms have balconies.
