Such a beautiful, beautiful place in a lovely setting. Such attention to detail, the furnishings, the gardens and sitting areas not to mention the wonderful breakfast that was served. Our host could not have been more helpful or pleasant. We hated that we could only stay one night. Hopefully we can return one day !

Room was clean. Mattress wasnt all that comfortable. Since this is an old old bldg, you have to watch your head, especially if your over 5'5. Food was good. Toffee pudding was only average unfortunately. Otherwise was really good food. First night there was music playing that we could hear in our room. It finally stopped about 9:30-10. This was one of the best stays I have had anywhere. The service is excellent most of all and everything about the place is all you need.

It was stepping in to beautiful history with the friendliest most accommodating staff around. Truly special and delicious food.

Beautiful property, located within Dartmoor.

On the day of my arrival my husband and I were greeted by the owner Bradley. Bradley assisted us with our luggage and personally escorted us to our room. He gave us the grand tour of the building and explained how the items in the room function (TV, lights etc...) One personal touch that I loved was him offering us a nice hot pot of tea. Our stay at Gidleigh Park was extraordinary. I had never experienced the level of service offered or the professionalism of the staff. We felt welcomed and cared for as individuals. The meals were outstanding. I’m so glad I chose to stay there for part of our trip to England’s southwest, but every place after was a bit of a let down.

It's a beautiful place with a beautiful room in a spectacular area . And a very helpful staff. The food was a bit underwhelming compared to what we were expecting.

Beautiful historic hotel sensibly and chicly updated. Staff very attentive. Our suite was quite comfortable..terrific bed and lovely bath including charming decor and sitting area. The gardens are amazing and you can walk down to the river Tamar from the hotel. Breakfasts amazing, dinner good. Small niggle; pillows are all the same. I like a softer version fwiw. Hope to come back again; really a stunning spot.

Fabulous stay at the Horn of Plenty! A beautiful hotel with wonderful staff and amenities. Food was wonderful and beautifully presented. Woukd highly recommend. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Fantastic atmosphere, friendly staff, great location near to Princetown where we hired some bikes. Food was also great.
