"Charming historic home in downtown New Bern - perfect walking distance to heart of downtown and practically across the street from Tryon Palace. We stayed in the downstairs unit which has a lovely back porch, great little patio and plenty of off street parking. "This was our first time in New Bern, came to town for business. The house is BEAUTIFULLY DECORATED and MAINTAINED! The owners restored the home to as much as its original Victorian state. The house is a 5 min walk from downtown. I highly recommend MJs Bar and Grille, La Rosa (authentic Italian, is about 10 mins from the house).For the BEST country breakfast go to Bakers Kitchen (their Dutch Potatoes are out of this world).
