"Stayed here for 4 nights, during our move out of the area. Home is comfortable and our daughter loved the kid touches. The basket of toys and books were so much fun for her. The beds are super comfortable and the rooms are well appointed. Two minor downsides, the kitchen showed some remnants of bugs. The owner said she was going to call pest control, but this was obviously missed by the cleaning crew. Additionally, there is quite a walk from where you park (near the garage) to the front door....

"We had a lovely stay and it was relaxing. If you have little ones, I recommend bringing a fishing pole and fish off the dock. Quiet neighborhood and quaint."

The location was quiet and convenient to evening we needed. The huge tv in the family room was great to sit around with our group. "We thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend away at Fisher’s point. The cottage was beautifully decorated and surrounded by gorgeous landscapes. We loved how remote and private the property was, which allowed for a super relaxing vacation. The kids enjoyed all the wildlife that nature had to offer and fishing from the beach area. "We enjoyed our stay primarily for the cleanliness and location. It is across from a cemetery, but that didn’t bother us. Quiet neighbors, my husband said. But we loved the covered side porch and the comfy bed. Only down sides were the bathroom was very small, especially the shower, and the floors are pretty uneven, which would be a challenge for older guests (including the steep and slippery stairs up to the primary bedroom). Also, it appears that the owners suite is located just down the hall...

"This clean and cozy VRBO is positioned perfectly within historical downtown Newbern. The Tryon Palace is directly across the street. Atlantic beach is 45 minutes away. You are in walking distance to many different types of restaurants. It was a surprisingly quiet neighborhood. We will be staying here again."

"A little pricey for me, and the house itself I would rate as funky but chic, but its right on the creek with beautiful views and a short drive to town. Eagles flying about. Kayaks, etc. Should have brought my boat but its 800 miles to where i live. We went in late March, would be great in the warm months. I give it a 4 out of 5. Do it."
