Mountainside Retreat with Serene Sunset Views Over Mountains and Newfound Lake

"We were so delighted to stay at this mountainside home and be so close to where we spent many cherished summer vacations over the years. From the moment we arrived we found the house as expected, clean and inviting. The views of the lake are exceptionally beautiful and peaceful. We did want to mention the stairs down to the house. They are a bit of a challenge, but we knew that beforehand. We managed just fine going up and down the stairs with the kids and all of our belongings. The steps are wide and easy to navigate, and the railings and lighting made them very safe to navigate day and night. The house was well stocked with everything we needed, and the beds were wonderfully comfortable. We appreciated the variety games available, a tv in every room, and the overall decor of the house - very appealing! It's obvious that much thought went into making sure the guests would feel comfortable during their stay. We will definitely come back and stay here again as it is close to many shops and great places to eat and, the best part is, you have access to a lovely private beach while you're a guest at this house.Thank you Alex for sharing your lovely retreat with us. We had a great time with our family."

"We LOVED our stay on Newfound Lake! The cottage was so clean and cozy! Exactly what we needed, especially after a lot of travel! One of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in, besides my own! Don’t hesitate to book!!!"

"Perfect location! The cottage has a nice deck overlooking the lake and a small, private beach across the street, which is equipped with chairs and an umbrella. It’s really a lovely spot. There is a BBQ grill, but we never used it. The owners were very nice, and even left some NH treats for us upon our arrival. We did not need the AC, but did use the heat a little as the mornings were chilly. The heat worked perfectly and we loved the ambiance of the fireplace. This cottage was comfortable for the 2 of us and was very convenient for swimming and hiking. We plan to book again! Thank you!"

"Our family loved the proximity to the lake and easy access to everything Bristol has to offer. Even the other hikes and attractions north of the lake weren't far.The cabin was quaint and charming. While it can sleep 5 adults comfortably or 2-3 adults and 4-6 kids, the setup is better for younger kids. Only one bathroom but it was clean, and the water came out warm faster than almost anywhere we've stayed outside our home.A few small "glitches" but nothing big, especially for new hosts. They were very responsive and nice. A great place to stay for a young family eager for some fun on the lake!"

"My family 7adults and 5 children age 5-10 had a great week on the lake. We enjoyed swimming, fishing, kayaking and paddle boarding. Lots of hiking, waterfalls, and exploring local areas. Host was quick to respond to any questions or concerns. Pet friendly was a plus for us as we had 2 dogs."
