Close to the beach, close to the harbour, close to the coastal path, a great location for any type of stay, with the added bonus of a garage that you can park your car in, & 2 areas looking out over the sea to sit with a drink or 2 to relax
Great location, chalet very clean and spacious.Everything was there that you needed for self catering.Garage provided for car,so we explored the area by bus knowing the car was safe.
The owner responded to my message almost immediately and check in was quick and simple. The property was clean, warm and cosy. Towels, bed linen and cleaning products were supplied and the kitchen was well stocked with pots and crockery. The area is beautiful and it was lovely to sit in the sun lounge in the evening and watch the sunset. We would definitely stay again.
Clean and everything as quoted - small things like no sharp knives even bread knife didn’t cut bread, oven in need of good clean unable to use it the grill smoked and set off the fire alarm.
This property has a road between that and the seafront. It's basic but has everything you need for a restful holiday. Easy access to many pubs, food kiosks, shops and the sea. Great location for countless walks and the added bonus of watching the world go past once you get back. The property also includes a secure single garage, which is excellent - considering there wasn't any free parking. We did manage to park our car outside to unload our luggage and luckily we only had a Ford Focus, so it fitted nicely in the garage. I think anything bigger may have been a problem,
We would definately book this property again.
If you're not looking for a luxury holiday but want creature comforts this is the place.
On arrival had to clean windows.bed linen did not smell fresh.
Every think out dated luvly views but still would not reccomend

Gorgeous sea view
We spent a lovely long weekend here in West Bay. As per previous comments, the cleaning was not great however this did not spoil our stay. We also did not have any towels or enough bedding on arrival but that was sorted out within an hour. The location was perfect, and the lovely weather was the icing on the cake. We love West Bay!
This was just right for an older couple on their own .. well kitted out with comfortable furniture, fully equipped kitchen and 2 sun lounges for watching the world go by on land and sea and seeing the sunset. Ideal location on the quieter side of a lively place and with a free parking space!
Enjoyed our stay, lovely location and good accommodation just a short stroll to the harbour and pubs/ eateries. The owner Needs to know he is let down by the inadequate and poor cleaning though.

Disappointed
This chalet is in a lovely spot looking out onto beach, but we were so disappointed at the state we found it in. We had to clean it first before we could stay in it. Will not be going back.
Photos taken and sent to owner.
Lovely property in ideal location. All amenities provided and the host is very responsive.

Great for relaxing and exploring!
This is my second stay here which speaks for itself. The chalet is spacious, has comfy beds and the little kitchen is fully functional. It's great just to relax in either of the 2 sun rooms or explore the stunning coast walks in either direction. Bridport is also a lovely town and is well worth a visit. West Bay is linked by the X53 bus which takes you all over the area if you don't have a car, good for walking and catching the bus back! There is currently extensive coastal defence works going on in West Bay but I believe they will be clear for the summer holidays and will finish by winter, the host will make you aware of that. I will certainly be returning to my little piece of heaven!

Great location for a family, couple, or a few friends wanting a getaway.
We came to West Bay from Canada to enjoy an ancestry tour for my wife. We chose the location due to it’s proximity to the ocean, and to the small towns nearby. Location, location, location. Have a coffee while listening to the ocean, and fall asleep to the waves.
The amenities themselves are basic, but what else do you need? The lack of WiFi was a bit of a shock at first, but once we got used to it, it was kind of nice to be a bit disconnected. A more comfy mattress would be nice, but it’s always difficult to sleep in another bed.
Room to make a meal, do some laundry, but mostly, to hike for hours. You can hike for hours in either direction, and both are beautiful.
The towns and locals were friendly and welcoming.
The only reason for the 4 has nothing to do with the chalet, but it can be a bit loud on weekends, with motorbikes coming in to the area and running up the road. Not too much of a bother, as we tended to be away or hiking during the day. And the area gets very quiet after 10-11 pm. Even on weekends.
Thanks for a wonderful stay, and don’t hesitate to book this chalet!

Would be 4 and a half if available
We really enjoyed our stay the chalet is comfortable and well equipped. We were very lucky with the weather and it was really hot. The only reason for not giving 5 stars was the bed is only a double (and comfortable) rather than king size. Would we stay again - yes absolutely we had a very relaxing week. Its handily situated for eating and drinking if you don't want to cook.

Great loation
This is a great place to stay if you want to have a base for resting. walking or visiting the local area. The view out of the front is amazing as you look directly out at the beach and sea. Accommodation is basic but has a charm.

A great, comfortable chalet with two lovely sun rooms.
We stayed for four nights in July. Loved the two sun rooms at the front, one at front of lounge, one at front of bedroom. The two main rooms are spacious, the lounge/dining area has a table and chairs for four, a comfy sofa, and a piano! The bedroom has fitted wardrobes and a comfy bed (room for a king size when it needs replacing?). Kitchen is small but so well equipped. Super shower and piece de resistance....a spa bath with under water lights! The use of a lock up garage too makes this a perfect place to stay to explore this area. We will definitely be back!

Lovely location
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the chalet.
It's well equipped and clean and cosy in a lovely location only a few metres from the sea front .
There's loads to do locally . We visited the Tank museum at Bovington , the Donkey sanctuary at Sidmouth and Lyme Regis is lovely plus the chalet is ideal for walkers with it being on the coastal path.
Would definitely recommend and we intend to visit again in the future.

A glorious long weekend
We arrived to beautiful sunshine! Very impressed with the use of a lock up garage. However, the chalet exceeded all expectations, being really spacious with just about every facility that one could require. Great access to the beach just a few steps away, with restaurants, ice cream, and lovely walks in close proximity. Lots of local attractions, for example Abbotsbury Swannery, children's farm and Subtropical Gardens, Portland Bill, and many other places of interest. We have and will recommend to others and return ourselves again soon.
