Riverfront Seclusion with Direct Access To Beach

This beach house offers spacious open living and has the unique feature of selecting whether you require 1, 2 or 3 bedrooms which are all separately keyed, each bedroom will sleep 2 guests, additional costs will apply if extra rooms are requested. The main bedroom has internal access to the main living area of the house, whilst the other 2 bedrooms are accessed from the rear verandah. The bedrooms all feature king size beds which can be set up as singles if you prefer. Tastefully decorated with quality fittings to ensure you have a memorable stay. The house is located on the banks of the Little Forester River and enjoys direct walking access to Adams Beach or "Lades" as it is known by the locals. Outdoor deck and BBQ area

Great stay ! Beautiful and tranquil area by the tidal beach with wildlife surrounding the property. Close to the lovely Bridport and Barnbougle GC. The property had lovely views from the lounge and bedrooms and was very clean. It had all the required services with comfortable beds and variety of configurations. I would return.

Well equipped property in a quiet location

The property was secluded and well equipped. There were problems with checkin as we were not provided with access to the three bedrooms as per our booking but the issue was promptly addressed by the property manager. The advantages of this property are its location, comfortable seating, ensuites in all 3 bedrooms, seclusion, peaceful environment and working appliances. We would highly recommend.

Bad experience

I booked this property for a special weekend away with 5 friends, as the house was advertised as 3 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. Upon arrival 2 of the 3 bedrooms were locked. I called the managing agent who stated we had only booked one bedroom. I received the pincode for the other 2 rooms, and after checking out received an invoice for hundreds of dollars extra. At no point during the booking process was I asked to advise of the number of rooms required. Should there have been an extra cost for more than one room this should have been made clear before booking. Further, I advised the number of guests staying - 6 - and clearly this number was not suitable for a one bedroom house, which is why we booked a 3 bedroom house. There were other issues with the house (cleanliness and working locks on the front of the house) but the most stressful issue was the locked rooms and request for extra payment. It made a special weekend stressful and unpleasant. Further, the main bathroom was locked and we had no access. The location is lovely, but I do not recommend for the reasons outlined above.

Fabulous location - private, peaceful setting, but only minutes from Bridport

We (3 couples) stayed at Umtali Beach House for 2 nights. It's a fantastic, private location looking over the Little Forester River. It is really well set up for groups, with each bedroom having an ensuite and sliding door onto the deck. The living area is spacious and light with gorgeous views. We were booked to go out to dinner on the Saturday night but as soon as we arrived Friday we cancelled that, it was too peaceful and lovely a place to want to leave. Its an especially great place if you enjoy bird watching, or just relaxing and cooking up a storm in the well-appointed kitchen and dining with beautiful views. We will definitely be back.
