For the price we paid it was excellent. Location wise perfect. On a hot summers day the room could get warm but staff provided a fan which was very much appreciated.
I had a wonderful four-night stay at the Hudson Hotel. The room was spacious and well-equipped with all the necessary amenities, including an en suite bathroom, a hairdryer, and a TV. It was nice to have daily refreshed water bottles, along with plenty of tea and coffee. The host, Sandra, was incredibly kind and helpful, making my stay even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this place!
Sandra the landlady is always very welcoming and a great host. Rooms are always clean, comfortable, spacious with thoughtful extras like plenty of towels and a fan!
This is ideal for a quick visit. My room was on the top floor and had an en-suite. It was small, cosy, warm, and comfortable, exactly what I was looking for. The service was excellent also.

OK for the money
Basic guest house that was clean and overall good value. You can hear other guests, the plumbing is noisy and the thin curtains meant I woke up as soon as it was light.
The room was not very clean, but we did have a good nights sleep. Not great value for money as I expected a bit more from the room for the cost. Interior is in dire need of a refresh. However, great location.

It was fine considering we only were staying for 1 night where we had been out drinking late. Room was clean but not the best in terms of comfort. Bathroom was clean but crowded as it was very small. Closet contained coathangers and a steamer. Coffee and tea with kettle in room. The hotel was clean itself it just was crammed and not very well presented. Decoration was abit mismatched. For a short cheap stay it was perfect really just could have been better if im being picky.
Booked 1 room for three people - the third bed was a very old pull out chair that was covered in stains, hard and lumpy with no bedding provided. The room itself has too many things in it - large vases hidden behind old, stained chairs etc and the furniture itself is really too big for the room. We arrived late and they did leave the key just inside the room for us with a follow up email, which was useful.
This was not worth £110 a night......more like £30 and that would be generous. the lady who checked us in was very polite and friendly but the guesthouse its self is the worst i have ever stayed in. the place is rundown with paint peeling every where , half painted walls in the hallway and in our room was even worst. there was exposed wires just cut off and left , the bed was horrible and left me with a bad back. the towels were all different colors and rough. the quilt cover was cut off at the bottom and didn't even go down to the bottom of the duvet leaving it exposed with stains. the pillow cases were from the 80's bed set of the pirot clown. there was stains all over the carpet ..... i could go on . i could hear another couple moan about the place as they checked in so i cant imagine where all the 8/10 ratings came from because the pictures this sight is displaying is not this hotel ............

The television didn’t work. There was a broken lamp hidden behind a chair. There was too much furniture and artwork in the room. I was worried about the amount of cabling and extension leads used in the room. There was a pile of random chargers, cleaning products and items on a shelf outside the room.
A small older style hotel that met my needs. Friendly staff. It has small rooms with basic necessities. Too early check out time at 10am and WiFi reception on top floor was spotty.
Bed was like lying on a sand bag and the pillows were even harder, there was also what you could say were homeless people in there too .wasnt what i expected at all it looks better on the website than in reality
I needed a late check-in and the hotel had provided me with a code and left a key for me, which made things very straightforward. The hotel is not in the nicest area so I was glad to get inside having walked there from the hospital. The entrance hall was in reasonable condition but did smell of damp dogs, although this didn't carry to upper floors.
My room was on the top floor. The ceiling height was very low which would be a problem for a taller traveller. The room was compact but had more amenities than I expected for the price- a mini fridge, tea and coffee facilities and a small TV. The window could be opened and the heating adjusted too which is good. The room was acceptably clean.
Most importantly the bed was extremely comfortable with decent quality bedding and a variety of pillows. It was quiet the night I stayed, although the walls are thin. I slept really well and would probably stay again for the price.
My stay here was Nice I will definitely come back.

Simple but comfortable
We stayed at Hudson's due to the cost and the location which were both excellent. The guesthouse was only a short walk to the pier and center of Brighton.
Initially we believed that we had booked a room which had a bathroom. This was not quite the case, we had a room and the bathroom was ours but was up the stairs. This was very small and slightly inconvenient.
The room had a large double bed which was comfortable. However, it was not very private. There was a door which lead to the cleaning room/where all the washing and ironing was kept. There was a curtain which initially we thought was fine. However, in the mornings this was see through and although no one was in that room it made getting ready for the day feel less private. I would personally invest in a thicker curtain to ensure privacy. In the mornings the guesthouse was loud and the early check out of 10.30 was quite inconvenient. I would recommend if you are looking for somewhere which is cheap and convent in a good location. However, there are small changes that i would make to make the guesthouse feel more comfortable
