"Room was fairly new and clean. A little too hot during the night but the window did open slightly. Just to note the room is part the church which we didn’t realise until we got there. Right next door the bells were ringing every 15 minutes on the evening, then started again at 8am and lasted longer in the morning to call for service (it was Sunday). I enjoyed them but just to note in case you were wanting a lie-in. There is no option for breakfast although the listing did state it would be available. Overall a nice stay for a reasonable price."

"It is a comfortable hotel with a slightly old fashioned feel, but it is a historic building and the staff are cheerful and helpful. My room was clean and the bed was comfortable and I appreciated the heavy curtains to cut out the sunlight. The stairs to the second floor were a bit tricky for an older guest when carrying luggage, although staff would have helped. I would certainly return."

"The accommodation was clean and spacious. The decor is quite dark, but probably because of the dark beams. The welcome in the pub wasn’t great, we weren’t acknowledged whilst standing with our bags in the pub. I understand the stafff are busy, but a simple’hello, we’ll be with you in a minute’ would be nice. We didn’t see any members of staff as the breakfast is a completely self service buffet. On the whole we would have felt more welcome if somebody had appeared at some point eg maybe when you return the key, rather than in a basket in the kitchen area."

"We stayed here just for one night as a last minute getaway for my birthday and absolutely loved it. The weather was amazing and the garden terrace was such a beautiful spot to sit for dinner (and again for breakfast) overlooking the valley. The rooms are clean and comfortable, all the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food at both dinner and breakfast was spot on. Very pleasantly surprised, highly recommend."

"This place is amazing !! One of the most welcoming and friendly places I have ever stayed in across the entire UK. The oweners and staff are the most naturally friendly people I have ever encountered in the hospitality trade. The place is so well run, from the booking to the check in to the bar, the food and the wonderful accommodation. We had 2 ground floor rooms and stayed for 5 night, the beds were king size and so comfortable, none of this putting 2 beds together. Proper king-size beds, the rooms were large, clean and so comfortable. The shower was great and so easy to use, one press of a button. My companion needed to work one day and the WiFi was excellent. But really it was the calibre of staff and owners that made the place shine !! It really did feel like home, without being over bearing. Also it is excellent value for money. I would return in a heartbeat and will certainly book there again if ever we return to the region. Thank you for making our stay so memorable.Keep up the good work !!!"

"Lovely hotel. The staff were absolutely amazing. We stayed on the hottest day in May and no air-conditioning was an issue. The staff came around with ice buckets added fans to the room and did everything they could to help. My sister is disabled and their care was outstanding. Breakfast sat outside with a view of the golf course was fantastic. Would we stay again most definitely maybe not in summer until they have air conditioning though."
