Top Brixham Hotel Reviews
Cosy, Traditional & Close to Everything
10/10 Excellent
"I booked this property in Brixham so that my partner and her brother could visit their sister who hasn't been well. The communication around the booking and access to the property was first class with Angela providing very clear and prompt guidance and information. The property itself was very clean and well maintained. It is a very comfortable and quirky cottage close to the harbour, shops and restaurants. They were even able to have drinks on the upper terrace at the cottage which was a welcome outside space. I would highly recommend Seabird Cottage to anyone looking for a clean and cosy place to stay and yes, they said they would be very happy to stay there again. Thanks you Angela for the use of your cottage."

Spacious town house with commanding views over all of Torbay.
8/10 Good
"Unfortunately builders had been since the owner had last been to the property and getting to the key box was quite difficult with bags of sand and a pallet in the way. With 10 of us staying with 3 cars parking was abit of a nightmare( didn’t know it was Regatta weekend) The house has great views from the back, and newly refurbed bathrooms , please note there is no bbq, just a fire pit, with no grill. Paul was great at answering our queries and apologised for the sand bags! A few things slightly annoying only 9 chairs at table and it says high chair available, but it is one that sits on a chair , meaning only 8 chairs for dining if you use it! Would make sense to bring chairs from top bedroom to dining table and put a couple of comfy chairs up there to admire the view . Outdoors the table only seats 8 not ideal when there are 10 people! Bin outside was half full on arrival so we had to leave bags of rubbish outside. As others have mentioned stairs down to the kitchen are very narrow and steep, unavoidable but worth mentioning. Kitchen is fully stocked but could do with a big saucepan for cooking for 10 ! We all enjoyed our stay and was great for the weekend get together."

2 bedroom accommodation in Brixham
8/10 Good
"Despite the complex instructions to find the cottage, it was fairly easy. (A quick look beforehand on Google Street View helped!) Found it best to park the car first in the Freshwater car park as you exit the harbour up the hill. This is a long stay car park costing approx. (August 2024) £10 for 24hrs. It's worth buying a permit for the week as it is valid in other car parks in the whole of Torbay too for when you trip out. It's an easy flat walk from here (and you may get a glimpse of seals close to shore) back to the harbour and the cottage is accessed via a flight of steps on the street corner. It's a charming, tiny cottage with everything you need, including wifi. A word of caution - the stairs are tricky and the door frames very low! I sliced some skin off the top of my head on one of them! As the stairs are spiral, it's best to come down the last steps backward, like a ladder. The first floor contains the bedrooms and bathroom. The top floor is the living space with an amazing view of the harbour but again be careful when taking up cups of tea due to the stairs. Having said that, we soon got the hang of it! All in all, it's an excellent home-from-home with plenty of nearby places to eat and shop, including supermarkets."
