"The place is totally run down. I had stayed at a Sonder in the past and now that it’s under new management and just reopened I thought it would be good. They didn’t refresh anything during the new ownership. The beds are good and rooms seemed clean but everything else is in rough shape. I had great concern when I got to my room and the lock was broken off. Dissatisfied I decided to bring this to the attention of the staff and check out early and go stay at a better kept hotel. When I asked for a partial refund I was told to email the GM and they would respond. They didn’t so I wouldn’t recommend staying here unless you are ok with mediocre service and conditions."

"We had a great stay at the Moxy Brooklyn traveling with my wife and our son. The location is fantastic—super convenient for getting around, with plenty of restaurants, shops, and things to do nearby. The hotel itself had everything we needed and more. The room was surprisingly spacious for NYC, which made a big difference traveling as a family, and it was clean, modern, and very comfortable. The design is fun and well thought out, but still practical. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay, and the overall vibe of the hotel struck a really nice balance—stylish without feeling over the top. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a well-located, comfortable spot in Brooklyn, especially if you’re traveling with family."

"Not a hotel you can check in early to, 3pm MEANS 3pm… which is fine because check out is at 12pm anyways. The room seemed clean but didn’t smell fresh, which I didn’t like. I had to open the window to get some crisp air. Bed was super comfortable. Liked the room control for the blinds and lights. That was convenient. The view was really cool from the 14th floor but even better from the rooftop bar. Friendly staff. Elevator is confusing. To come back downstairs just press L and take the escalator.. you will save yourself the embarrassment. "
