Hotel Indigo York by IHG

Hotel Indigo York by IHG

10/10 Excellent
"Hotel is in a great location within the walls and within easy walking distance to all the main sights and plenty of restaurants. Staff were very friendly and helpful, especially at check-in. The breakfast buffet was good, but a few more healthy options would be great. The charge of £20 per person each day also seemed quite high, on top of an already quite pricey room and I think it should be included at this room rate. The bar area was not very welcoming, but ok for a quick refreshment and there are plenty of local options as alternatives."

"Hotel well located. Check in friendly and an added bonus that we were upgraded. Staff very helpful and room great, although view of car park a little disappointing for a suite. Leisure facilities very clean and well managed. Would definitely stay here again."

The Queens Hotel & Victoria Cloisters

The Queens Hotel & Victoria Cloisters

10/10 Excellent
"We had a great time here, the staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was nice and clean and comfortable. The hide a bed of course was very springy but that’s to be expected with a hide a bed haha. The only problems we had were the lack of drip coffee pot since we aren’t espresso drinkers, which the house keeper said she was in the process of getting them in the rooms. Our other problem was my fault for not requesting a lower floor when booking the room, we were up on the second floor and had lots of luggage so I had to haul it all up and down. So if you don’t do stairs well or will have lots of luggage, make sure you stay in the hotel or request a lower floor in the cloisters. The location is great since it’s off the Main Street it’s not too loud at night but it’s still nice and close to the bridge to go into the centre of town. I would definitely come stay here again if I’m back in York."
